Epic Melodic Death Metallers NOTHGARD have released a brand new digital single, Lightcrawler! Feel free to check it out on all digital platforms worldwide. The single was recorded and mixed by Nothgard‘s very own Dom R. Crey (vocals/guitar) at his Splendid Wave Studios in Germany. The finishing touch was given by the fantastic Maor Appelbaum in Los Angeles / USA. The stunning cover artwork was created by Michal Loranc.
To underline the message of the single, the band shot a dark, atmospheric music video (directed by Dream Film Factory) with high quality special effects. Please check it out here:
Comments Nothgard singer/guitarist Dom R. Crey: “To me, ‘Lightcrawler’ is a bit more than just a single. The whole thing has slumbered in my brain for some time. I just needed the right trigger to put it into lyrics and music. For the listener, the ‘Lightcrawler’ is just a metaphorical figure, but for me, it is a real being. It is an embodiment of people I met in my life. People who made me feel drained and sick.”
Nothgard entered the official German album charts with their latest album Malady X at position 53! Visit metalblade.com/nothgard to check out all three videos Nothgard produced for Malady X and to order the album. Physical and digital options available.
Epic Melodic Death Metallers NOTHGARD have just launched a lyric video for the ‘Malady X‘ track ‘Daemonium I‘. Check it out at: youtu.be/yc539-jfqb4
Comments NOTHGARD singer/guitarist Dom R. Crey: “With ‘Deamonium I’ we have created a song that expresses the complexity of Nothgard. During writing I had a feeling that the song “only” with growls lacks the emotion. When the lyrics came, it was clear that we needed proper clean vocals. No, no pop vocals but a roaring rock voice. We had already subconsciously made a selection – Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast. Of course, we are extremely glad that Noora agreed to participate in ‘Deamonium I’. For me personally, the song is a highlight on our last work “Malady X”. That was certainly one of the reasons why we decided now to do a lyric video for ‘Deamonium I’“!

Epic Melodic Death Metallers NOTHGARD have just finished their live activities for 2018.
Here’s a recap from bandleader Dom R. Crey: “Wow, what a blast! Four weeks, countless shows all over Europe and an incredibly awesome time. At the end of October we started with the guys of Parasite Inc. in the Malady X release-tour and would like to thank all those who came to the shows. The energy that our fans put up here was fantastic. We had never expected that lyrics of the new songs would be shouted at us during those shows – incredible! Just as great was the subsequent European tour with our Finnish brothers in mind, Omnium Gatherum & Wolfheart. Again, a big thank you to all our fans in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Hungary and Co – you know who you are!“
NOTHGARD have filmed a lot of material during their latest tour and have now launched a videoclip for the ‘Malady X‘ tune ‘Guardians Of Sanity’. Check it out here:
Comments Dom R. Crey: “We have managed to film a new video on tour, this time as a live performance for the song ‘Guardians of Sanity’ from our new album ‘Malady X’. Camera and editing was handled by Wolfheart mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen, who is also producing the clips for his own band. If you couldn’t come to the shows you now have the chance to get a glimpse of our live performance to headbang through your house!“

Epic Melodic Death Metallers NOTHGARD have just released their third video clip in support of their upcoming new album, Malady X, which is due out next Friday (Oct. 26th)! Watch below the video for “Fall Of An Empire”!
Bandleader Dom R. Crey comments about “Fall Of An Empire”: “Finally the time has come and we can share the third single with you. ‘Fall Of An Empire’ was a real challenge for us, but it was worth it. We flew specially to Rome and shot there in an absolutely brilliant location, a sulfur desert, and simply wanted to breathe life into the intention of the lyrics and to do justice to them. ‘Fall Of An Empire’ is symbolic of many things that concern us. Packed in a thriller-like story with great actors, a video you should not miss out on!”
