In the second of five exclusive trailers on GUITAR WORLD.com that showcases material from the bonus “Making Of” DVD entitled “Blood Upon The Goat,” Altus reveals that he wrote the tracks “Honor Killings” and “Body Harvest” appearing on the band’s tenth studio album, Blood In, Blood Out, due out in North America on October 14th, via Nuclear Blast. The bonus DVD is included in the album’s digi-pak and import box set versions.

The pioneers of industrial-tinged extreme metal FEAR FACTORY have signed a deal for North America & Europe with Nuclear Blast Entertainment.
Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989, FEAR FACTORY changed the world of metal and have become a huge influence on the genre ever since their inception. The band’s unique sound helped bridge the gap between death metal, grindcore, thrash, and industrial on landmark releases like Soul Of A New Machine, Demanufacture, and the gold-selling release, Obsolete.
“Evolution and change are key elements in the non-stop growth of FEAR FACTORY,” comments guitarist Dino Cazares. “With that said, I am proud to be back working alongside the first man to believe in what we were doing back in 1990. He took a chance and signed us, and the rest is history. Monte Conner, once the main A&R man at Roadrunner Records, has now once again come back into the FEAR FACTORY family with his new home – Nuclear Blast Entertainment. FEAR FACTORY are currently working on material for their Nuclear Blast debut. The as-of-yet-untitled album will be co-produced by long-time collaborator Rhys Fulber, along with Cazares and Bell. A Winter 2015 release is expected.

Manga metal-hardcore monsters RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have signed a worldwide licence deal with Nuclear Blast Records after owner/CEO, Markus Staiger, had watched and met the band at this year’s Summer Breeze Open Air.
Markus Staiger commented: “I was instantly blown away by the sheer power of their live performance! This is the brutality I was looking for! I immediately knew we had to have ROTNS on our roster! It is nothing but impressive what they have achieved in so little time – all on their own. Also this is another proof for the diversity of metal, the scene and our label! Samurai Spirit!“

Driven by strong DIY ethics RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have paved their way into the scene since their inception in 2009 and have achieved a lot for a young band without support. Touring Asia & Europe alike, producing their own music videos (most of them gaining up to 1mil(!!!) clicks on YouTube) and creating their own cosmos has made the five piece to one of the most exciting bands around.
The band’s spirit was born in the back alleys of the 1980s Shibuya* district. The heart of their music indeed is the Japanese culture, its mangas and Furyos*. (*check attached glossary at the bottom)
In the band’s young career, RISE OF THE NORTHSTAR have release two globally successful EPs and have toured not only Japan, but also Spain, Italy, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium and France as well as China and Taiwan. After successfully concluding their world-tour in support of the 2013 output “Straight Out Of Hell”, the party has been concluded upon the festival summer.
Clearly no time to sit back and relax, as the pumpkin heads HELLOWEEN will heading right for their very own MiSueno Studios, located on the isle of Tenerife to start working on the successor of “Straight Out Of Hell” in October. Joining the band to handle production duties will be long-term companion Charlie Bauerfeind. The new album which is set for a release in May 2015 will be the first since HELLOWEEN have inked a new deal with old label home Nuclear Blast, where they released two albums – “The Dark Ride” (2000) and “Rabbit Don’t Come Easy” (2003), both of which have been re-issued with extended bonus material in 2013.
Last but not least, HELLOWEEN would like to send out a big “Thank You” to all the Helloween Maniacs worldwide with some live impressions of the title track of the charting success “Straight Out Of Hell” turned out to be, landing on a sensational #4, their highest German chart entry to date, holding this position for five long weeks. Additionally they made another five Top ten entries in Europe and also cracked the US Billboard Charts.
