On June 2nd, OMNIUM GATHERUM released their new EP, Slasher, via Century Media Records. Their newest visual offering for the song “Sacred” tells a tale of discovering the hidden meaning that sets us free, as we overcome fear and embrace the power of forgiveness in a world where the echoes of our presence resonate everywhere. Markus Vanhala (guitars and clean vocals) adds: “ We’ve pumped and stoked to have our new appetizer “Slasher” EP out for our people. Here’s also the newest single “Sacred”, which in my books have some hints of Judas Priest and Whitesnake and Survivor between the good traditional OG lines. We’ve been having a good start for the year before summer festivals with all that amazingly successful North American tour we just did, Finnish grammy nomination for “Origin” album and the two single releases getting people into the OG-world. That world will be ours!

After releasing their latest single ‘Fortitude’, taken off the upcoming full-length album “Origin”, to be released on November 5th, Finnish melodic death metal masters OMNIUM GATHERUM have exciting news to share.
On September 29th the “VELENO ACROSS EUROPE TOUR 2022” kicks off and continues through 40 cities until its end on November 13th.
As special guest OMNIUM GATHERUM will be part of the package together with FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE supported by DARK MIRROR OV TRAGEDY, CHAOSEUM, IRONY OF FATE, SCREAMING SAVIOUR, ETHEREAL SIN, W.E.B, SOULLINE and WAR KABINETT.

About the place, where the band got together to shoot the video, they state:
”’Fortitude’ was filmed at Munapirtti, an island in the Southeast Finland, near Kotka. This cabin is the sacred sanctuary, our secret lair in the woods, where we have rehearsed many many bandcampsbefore entering the studios to record new albums since ‘New World Shadows’.Isolated from the world.”

Today Finnish melodic death metal force OMNIUM GATHERUM present their new single and video ‘Reckoning’ taken off their upcoming album ‘Origin’, which will be released worldwide on November 5th, 2021 via Century Media Records.
Like the previously released single ‘Paragon’ the video for ‘Reckoning’ was also directed and produced by Owe Lingwall, Dreamday Media.
The song will be available on all digital platforms as of now.
”‘Reckoning’ is a certain powersong or an uplifting song which we needed to rise from the depths of a past year, and it was the last song we wrote for the new album. Adult oriented death metal at its finest glory, that dark and shiny place where Def Leppard and death metal meets. Death Leppard, maybe? The music video saved a warm memory from a very hot summer day in my hometown of Kotka, where we played at the rocks of the beautiful island of Rankki. Lying on the rocks zipping cold beer and driving with the boats at the sea. Kotka isn’t that far from Miami, except geographically, haha”, Markus Vanhala states.

”This song is clearly and absolutely about a situation where someone is really trying to mess things up and goes about doing it in secrecy. ‘A Story’ about an individual who is so messed up that he/she turns against the people who really matter. This is a certain way to ruin, yet the one doing so denies all responsibility ‘avoiding only the truth’…”
