Fear can sometimes be the best fuel. It pushes us into the unknown, makes us aware, and reminds us we’re alive. Embracing that mindset, PAPA ROACH transformed the word itself into a mantra for the title of their eighth full-length album, F.E.A.R. The Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum hard rock juggernaut builds it’s most infectious and invigorating body of work to date. They preserve the robust riffs and swaggering rhythms that marked their initial call-to-arms, while seamlessly infusing cinematic electronic flourishes, sweeping hooks, and magnetic melodies. As a result, the band—Jacoby Shaddix [vocals], Jerry Horton [guitars], Tobin Esperance [bass], and Tony Palermo [drums]—rise like never before…
Multi-platinum, Grammy and MTV award nominees Papa Roach’s brand of melodic rock has played a big part in shaping the newly resurgent nu metal scene, and January 2015 sees the 15th anniversary of their breakthrough album ‘Infest’ featuring the anthem ‘Last Resort’. The band will also be releasing their 8th album F.E.A.R (Face Everything And Rise) on January 26th 2015. F.E.A.R. signifies a new dawn for Papa Roach, Shaddix says “I hope people walk away believing they can do anything.”

Speaking of their catalog, 2015 also marks an important milestone for Papa Roach. It’s the 15th anniversary of their triple-platinum debut, Infest, which solidified them as hard rock leaders. Since then, they’ve paved the way for countless other acts to find success at both radio and on stage.
“INFEST is straight fire one-hundred percent,” declares Jacoby. “That’s when I realized the purpose of my life playing music. Infest was the opening statement. It’s the intro of who we were to become. It was just the top of the iceberg. That record is just as brutally honest and real as anything I’ve written to this day.”
Ultimately though, F.E.A.R. signifies a new dawn for Papa Roach. Jacoby leaves off, “I hope people walk away believing they can do anything.”
PAPA ROACH are also delighted to announce that they will be playing a full UK tour next year. The band return for a headline tour for the first time in 2 years in March 2015.
Shaddix says “We are super stoked to get back to do a headlining show for the fans in the UK and we got tricks up our sleeve for this tour so be ready, it’s gonna be off the chain!”
Tickets are on sale now!
The band returned briefly to the UK to make their first Reading Festival appearance in 13 years this year, and it was like they’d never been away. Metal Hammer were prompted to note that “live they are masters at rabble-rousing, party starting fun” and Kerrang that “The ‘Roach have a lethal combination of easy confidence, crunch and songs the whole room can join in with. Each song plasters gleeful grins across faces.” Rock Sound thought it was “a career defining performance that will silence many a critic.”

Congratulations are in order for PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix and his wife, Kelly, who are the proud new parents a baby boy, Brixton Gabriel Shaddix. Kelly underwent a Caesarean section procedure a a Californian hospital on Wednesday, September 18 and Brixton was born at 9:45 a.m. local time. He weighed in at 7 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 19 inches long. This is the third son for Jacoby and Kelly, who are also the parents of Makaile Ceilo Shaddix, born March 24, 2002 and Jagger Monroe Shaddix, born September 13, 2004.
During the making of PAPA ROACH’s latest album, “The Connection”, Shaddix split and reconciled with his wife of 16 years and also fell off the wagon.
“This record is a snapshot of me at my most desperate,” Jacoby told The Aquarian Weekly. “As I was writing this record, [my wife and I] were split, so there was a lot of pain and anger and frustration. As the dust settles in my life, I realize that I’m the orchestrator of all this chaos. I’m the one at fault. I’m the fucking problem. When you go through that stuff, sometimes it’s hard to own your own shit, to step up to the plate and own it. I just had to because I wanted to do the right thing.”
He added: “I was able to make this record, express myself and get my family back together and get my respect from my band. At the eleventh hour, I pulled it off. I don’t know, man, this is a repeating cycle in my life. I don’t know how many more times I can do this to myself.”
Metalkast co-host Larry Paterson has a break in touring and joins Paul “The Rog” Rogne for another fantastic episode of METALKAST. This episode features Tony Palermo of Papa Roach and Sixx AM plus single plays from Sixx AM, Texas Hippie Coalition, and Five Finger Death Punch.
