FALLEN ARISE, formed in 2009, released their second full length album “Adeline” in October 2015, via Rock Of Angels Records (aka ROAR), combining a theatrical atmosphere with a progressive approach and a heavy-metal-alike heaviness. The album takes us back in time of the Victorian era of the 19th century (1837-1901), presenting us the decay of the human body and mind through fiction. The album was realized in the collaboration with an ensemble of 40 renowned musicians from the National Opera, the Athens State Orchestra, the NERIT Orchestra and the Piraeus Concert Band. FALLEN ARISE have shared the stage with MOONSPELL, LEAVES’ EYES, OUTLOUD, as well as playing several shows in Greece.
The first edition of METAL ON THE HILL was a huge success! Perfect weather conditions, 1700 celebrating fans and highly motivated top acts have placed METAL ON THE HILL firmly on the international festival map.
The city of Graz was a perfect host to the metal community from all around the world. NAPALM RECORDS and it’s own booking department NAPALM EVENTS have awakened all of Austria from its slumber, as Graz hasn`t seen a rock and metal-only festival in ages! In cooperation with “Spielstätten Graz” METAL ON THE HILL Festival takes further steps and has already been confirmed for the next round in 2017 – both days on Kasemattenbühne at the picturesque “Schloßberg”.

Yes, the rumors are true. Metal Blade has managed to find the holy grail of Heavy Metal, the album that hasn’t been available officially for decades, by one of the best Heavy Metal bands of all time – ‘Paradise Lost‘ by mighty CIRITH UNGOL!
Initially released in 1991 by Restless Records, Metal Blade has finally been successful in licensing the rights to this masterpiece!
On the 7th of October ‘Paradise Lost‘ will be released for the first time ever as an official LP! Besides 180g black vinyl, differend colored and strictly limited versions will be made available: white/black marbled (ltd. 500), brown/black marbled (ltd. 300) and red/white splatter (ltd. 200 – exclusively available through our eBay shop). Additionally, ‘Paradise Lost‘ will be available as a Digi-CD for the first time ever, including five previously unreleased bonus tracks! The album is now available for pre-order at metalblade.com/cirithungol – where the classic track “Join the Legion” is also streaming.
The LP will be released featuring a special vinyl master, using the original (!) master tapes as a source, re-mastered by Patrick W. Engel at the Temple Of Disharmony studios, best sound guaranteed! The vinyls feature 400 g spine sleeves, a 12-page booklet and an A1 sized poster.
The Digi-CD has been newly mastered from the original master tapes as well, done by Bart Gabriel. The CD features five bonus tracks (all alternative mixes from album tracks). Both, CD and vinyl, feature previously unreleased photos in the booklet as well as liner notes and song descriptions by band members.
The story of ‘Paradise Lost’ as per Robert Garven (drums):
“The saga of Cirith Ungol’s fourth album is true to its namesake “Paradise Lost”. Like a classic Greek tragedy, it is an epic tale filled with pain, challenges, battles, lost opportunities, and final redemption. It contains a cast of heroes and villains, playing out their parts on a stage of metal, at a time when hair bands and speed metal were in vogue.
The seeds of this project grew from the fertile soil that was the aftermath of “One Foot in Hell”. After its release the band immediately started work on their fourth effort “Paradise Lost”. This was planned to be a concept album, and the album cover and theme had already been selected.
After its release the original record company could not secure distribution in Europe, and they released the band from its 3 album deal. Shortly thereafter, several of the remaining members left out of frustration. However, a few original members kept the fires of Ungol burning, closely guarded in its secret lair. They waited for the time when the stars were right, and the Great Old Ones were ready for it to come crawling out from its ancient crypt, back upon the metal stage. As of this writing, the being called Ungol has arisen to take its rightful place in the pantheon of true metal, and calls forth the Legions of Chaos to stand by their side to usher in its final act.“

CIRITH UNGOL will perform live for the first time in 25 years at the 2nd installment of the Frost and Fire festival in Ventura, CA, taking place October 7th-9th (frostandfirefest.com)
Iconic UK metallers, PARADISE LOST, have signed a worldwide deal with German-based metal powerhouse Nuclear Blast! Formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire in 1988 and still boasting 4 of its 5 original members, the band are widely-credited with co-founding the gothic metal genre with their sophomore album, “Gothic” (1991). Through the years, PARADISE LOST have changed their style effectively and reinvented themselves again and again. They elbowed their way from their original melodic death metal on their debut, “Lost Paradise” (1990) to the classic “Icon” (1993) and more experimental “One Second” (1997). Finally they went back to the roots with their current release, “The Plague Within” (2015) and some of the best reviews of their career.
Vocalist Nick Holmes commented: “PARADISE LOST’s career has run alongside Nuclear Blast Records since the label began in the late 80’s. And as huge fans of original death metal, we still have the majority of the label’s first releases from those very early days. Just before heading out to sea as part of the 2016 installment of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, British goth-metal pioneers PARADISE LOST have partnered up with DecibelMagazine.com in order to premiere a brand new video for the track “Terminal”, which is taken from their latest Century Media release, “The Plague Within”. The video can be seen below:
The video was produced and directed by Oliver Barth for visions-in-fear.de and filmed at a special fan event at the Forum, in Bielefeld, Germany on August 17th, 2015.
Cruise goers will be treated to not one, but two sets from the band and as a special bonus, attendees will also see both Greg and Nick perform two additional sets with VALLENFYRE and BLOODBATH!!
PARADISE LOST will be returning stateside in May to make an appearance at Maryland Deathfest XIV alongside label mates, THE HAUNTED as well as many other amazing acts.
Returning with opus number fourteen, “The Plague Within”, earlier this year, British goth metal pioneers PARADISE LOST celebrated a tremendously successful 2015 achieving top ten positions for the latter in Germany and Finland as well as chart entries in Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and their native UK.
Now the band round off a highly successful year with another very special release that will excite the band’s global fanbase. Filmed and recorded in September 2014, “Symphony For The Lost” is a live album/DVD which captures PARADISE LOST performing at the epic Ancient Roman Theatre of Philippopolis in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, featuring the Orchestra of State Opera Plovdiv and Rodna Pesen Choir.
