In December 2025, NECRODEATH ended their career, and PIER GONELLA resumed his solo project in January, bringing bassist Giulio Belzer to the rehearsal room and reconfirming Peso (Necrodeath’s founder and composer) on drums.
The trio, which plays instrumental heavy metal, will begin an Italian tour in the spring, spread throughout 2026, where they will perform songs from their two studio albums “Strategy” and “667.”

Italian legendary extreme thrash metallers NECRODEATH, formed in 1984, have just released their 11th studio album “The 7 Deadly Sins” on Scarlet Records, delivering 7 fast and brutal songs centering around the 7 deadly sins. For the first time ever, the band used their Italian mother tongue to write most of the lyrics, as well as English and Latin, giving a different edge to the music itself.

Just recently, on May 17, Tarja Virmakari met NECRODEATH drummer PESO and bassist GL, at Metalitalia.com -Festival in Milan. NECRODEATH released the album ‘Idiosyncrasy’ in October 2011 on Scarlet Records. This new effort is arguably the band’s most challenging so far, both musically and lyrically, consisting in one single (40 min. long) track which sums Necrodeath’s musical approach without necessarily trying to sound “progressive”.
