West Coast based glam, punk ‘n’ rollers PROPHETS OF ADDICTION have released the new music video for the track “Walk The World” from their new album “Face the Music” through BraveWords Records. The video was premiered by Metal Sludge, who describe the band as “a modern day Hanoi Rocks” and is now available worldwide.
Lead singer Lesli Sanders talked about the story behind the song, “The song, although portrayed in the video as if I am singing to the girl as that is a lot easier to portray is actually about learning to love oneself. It’s about believing in yourself having the courage to stand up for what you believe in and being yourself.”
Lesli goes on to talk about making this video, “Since all the players in Prophets Of Addiction live all over the country it takes a creative thought process to accomplish these videos. I had so many ideas and concepts, although the ideas were hard to accomplish. In the end, I hope you all enjoy this little story set to the song “Walk the World.””

Phil Soussan talks about recording and producing Prophets of Addiction: “Les is a great songwriter. He has incredible pop sensibility and as a songwriter myself, I very much relate to that. But he has a great attitude that he combines that with and that’s what brings the character into the band Prophets of Addiction. If you’ve never heard them, this is your chance to give them a good listen.
“So, this album is pretty cool how we made it. I’ve been mixing albums for Les for years and we finally had an opportunity to do a record from scratch how we wanted to do it and featuring all of the musicians that Les wanted to have on the record. So, we started it here in Las Vegas at Danny Koker’s Desert Moon Productions and then brought everything back here and all of those players came in and they did their overdubs here. It was a really good time. We had a lot of fun doing it. I got to play bass on the record so I had an opportunity to sort of be on both sides of the glass so to speak and what came out was fantastic. The record is so cool. It has incredible highlights on it. I think the song “Hollywood” is killer, but “Let’s Get High” is great. It’s not necessarily what you think it’s about. “Take Me to Your Leader” is another cool song and we did an amazing version of a cover of Rod Stewart’s “Maggie May” that you have to hear. You got to hear it to believe it. It’s so so cool. It stands up on its own and one of my favorite songs of all time. So, that was fun doing that.”
The praise for the band has been incredible!

West Coast based glam, punk ‘n’ rollers PROPHETS OF ADDICTION just released the new music video for the track “Let’s Get High” from their new album “Face the Music” through BraveWords Records. The video was premiered by Sleaze Roxx and can be viewed here.
Lead singer Lesli Sanders shares the story of the song and video, “We are all looking for a “high,” although the term is often associated with drug use; in reality, it is most often not the case. In this case, the topic of the song as I was penning the lyrics was a reflection back into time of the excitement that surrounded a new release from a favorite band of mine. It was the effort put into not only purchasing the record, saving up money doing odd jobs, or whatever, as money was never handed to me; it had to be earned. Then I knew I had to be at the record store in a timely fashion as it could sell out real quickly; maybe the particular mom and pop record store only would have 6 copies? I would get there by any means necessary, which usually meant my bicycle. Then the race was on, and after purchasing that record, I would hightail it home to throw that thing on the turntable with an excitement rarely found in this now world of instant gratification. I mean, this was an accumulation of weeks, if not months, of preparation. Once that music was blasting, shaking the house much to my mom’s dismay, it was time to double-task, as I would listen to every nuance all the while scouring the artwork, credits, and photos. It was a time of great excitement and a good “HIGH.””

“Superhero” is the first single and video from the forthcoming, PROPHETS OF ADDICTION album, Face the Music, which the band tracked with longtime producer Phil Soussan (bassist for Ozzy Osbourne, Beggars and Thieves, Billy Idol, Vince Neil, Rod Stewart and others) at Blue Cat Studios in Las Vegas, NV.

And now with a very strong lineup that is ready to move forward it’s time to get back to rocking,” remarks Sanders. .
The “Superhero” single / video is the first release in the band’s new relationship with Bravewords Records. “When searching for a home for the new release we wanted a place that ‘gets it’ and we felt Giles and Bravewords was the best fit for this album that we’ve put so much time and effort into creating,” says Lesli.
While the general public may know PROPHETS OF ADDICTION mainman Lesli Sanders as a lifetime rocker, dating back to the mid 80s and his underground success with bands such as Talks Cheap and Queeny Blast Pop, he’s had a passion for BMX racing even longer than that. Sanders reflects on that passion for BMX bikes “My passion for BMX began in the 1980s, where I quickly found success as a young racer, earning a #2 district plate before shifting my focus to a successful music career. After stepping away from music to care for my ailing stepfather and mother, I turned back to BMX racing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite initial injuries, my determination led me to collect numerous accolades, including Gold Cup Plates, State Plates, and a district #1 plate. Now, I rank in the National Age Group top 10 for both the 56-60 cruiser class and 56+ expert category, thriving once again in the sport I loved as a teenager.”
