With the release of their second album – a respectful and innovative homage to Thrash Metal of the 80s and Death Metal of the 90’s – Plector calls it quits.
With over 200,000 views on YouTube for the bands official videos: Alcoholic Refuge, Spiteful Love and their famous Flann-Hell Videos (tour video diaries) plus two hyped U.S. tours it is now over.

The album, “Punishment Day”, is brutal and playful, a sentiment of devotion to their heritage combined with the furiousity and pace that comes with modern Metal. The album was recorded in legendary Toontrack Studios with the band’s new bass player Patrik Wall (Apostasy) at the wheel and later on mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Zonaria, Apostasy, Live Elephant, Feral and many – many more) at equally legendary Garageland Studios. Needless to say, the albums sounds legendary. Armed with defined and heavy drums, a thick yet crisp bass sound, clear yet brutal guitars and last but not least – a vocal effort that’ll make the most chastened Death Metal fan fall flat of their chair.

Official release date for Europe and rest of the world is Wednesday, November 7 2012

The band will perform their last gig ever at the record label’s own festival “Discouraged Festival” in his hometown of Umeå, 14-15 september.
