D&A Guitar Gear, located in Los Angeles, California,  a sub-division of RKS Design, creators of the world renowned RKS Guitars, partner up with the Houston based funk-metal band DOWNFALL 2012 in an endorsement deal that seems to be more like a long lost friendship.

Platinum songwriter and music producer TONE Scott; the Director or Marketing & Brand Management for D&A Guitar Gear, became aware of the recent signing of Downfall 2012 to 313 Entertainment and their first official tour, all by one encounter with the bands’ producer and manager – veteran music producer Jim Finley.

TONE approached Finley with the idea that D&A could support the band on its first official tour and provide the Downfall with a ‘soft’ endorsement deal that would include gear, and co-promoting and publicizing the band through all of  D&A’s Marketing and Publicity strategies. In turn, D&A would receive reciprocation by being associated with all of the marketing, promotions and publicity that the band implements into its touring and recording endeavors.

Downfall 2012, has secured its first nationwide tour as an opening act for the super-notable metal goddess Otep Shemaya and her infamous band of the same name – OTEP (touring the U.S. summer of 2015).

TONE; Concluding that, “Downfall is the kind of band that, anyone who recognizes true musical talent, would want to ride their bandwagon”, he immediately approached D&A Guitar Gear/RKS Design CEO, Ravi Sawhney, and presented the opportunity.

After watching one of the bands’ music videos, Sawhney simply exclaimed, “Let’s do it”.

D&A immediately designed a sponsorship package that would be mutually beneficial to both the company and the band, and in June 2015 officially placed Downfall 2012 on theD&A Guitar Gear artist roster.

Aside from Downfall, the D&A artist roster includes a wide array of Popular musical talent ranging from acts such as BUSH, Paramore, and Keel/Cold Sweat guitarist Marc Ferrari, to iconic artists’ such as John Sebastian and Dave Mason; and even world class touring & studio guitarists Michael “FISH” Herring and Grammy Award winning guitarist and producer Paul Nelson.

The excitement stemming from this arrangement isn’t just being felt on the D&A side. All three members of Downfall – Danny Gil (guitar), Boo Rogers (bass), and Casey Bowen (drums), and the entire Downfall 2012 camp have been energized by this symbiotic musical endeavor. “You know the guys are crazy about the gear, seeing as how they’re constantly taking the time to personally photograph their own gear with our stands on tour, and plastering it all over social media…. heck, we do the same”, says TONE, “we are really digging this band”.
