Memphis’ alternative metal act SALIVA is back with a new powerful single, entitled “Time Bomb”! The song, released today November 1st via Judge & Jury Records, features the YouTube star Peyton Parrish.
Saliva: “Time Bomb is about those experiences we all have in life where it feels like it’s you against the world. There’s always gonna be haters and for me it’s good to let it out and write how I’m feeling. Time Bomb is about the determination and resilience it takes to persevere and overcome those moments. People are always gonna try and test you in life, but you have to take it and use it to stay focused and be in control of your destiny!“
Peyton Parrish: “Time Bomb is perfect for those high-pressure, adrenaline-inducing events when you need that extra push to overcome adversity. When it feels like it’s you against the world, this is your walk out song to the fight. This is your song for when the clock is ticking and the pressure’s on.“

Drowning Pool, a name etched in the annals of modern rock history, roars back into the spotlight with thunderous energy and uncompromising power. The band’s unmistakable sound, synonymous with raw energy and unapologetic attitude, returns to captivate audiences once again.
Known for their iconic anthem “Bodies,” Drowning Pool needs no introduction. This breakout single propelled them to international recognition, leaving an indelible mark on the nu metal landscape. The song’s relentless energy and defiant spirit resonated with a generation, becoming an anthem for moshers, metalheads, and fans of electrifying live performances.
Ryan McCombs played a pivotal role in the band’s evolution, joining their ranks in the aftermath of the tragic loss of beloved frontman Dave Williams. His powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence breathed new life into Drowning Pool, solidifying their status as metal titans. Songs like “37 Stitches,” “Feel Like I Do,” and “Turn So Cold” catapulted them to new heights, earning them a place among the genre’s heavyweights.
Yet, Drowning Pool’s story is not just about music; it’s a testament to enduring friendships and a shared passion for their craft. Ryan’s return to the band in 2023 marks a reunion of kindred spirits, a return to the roots of their musical journey. As he succinctly puts it, “Just being back in the same room together after so many years… was a quick reminder as to why I considered them to be my best friends in the business back in the day.”
Their path has not been without its challenges. “Bodies” faced misinterpretations and controversy, with its lyrics taken out of context. Nevertheless, their music has persisted, embraced by the very culture that birthed it. “Bodies” remains an enduring anthem, not just for Drowning Pool but for metal culture as a whole. Its legacy lives on, inspiring new generations of fans. Guitarist C.J. Pierce captures the essence of their dedication: “I’d play ‘Bodies’ five times a night if people really wanted it that bad!” The song’s timeless appeal transcends generations, resonating with both the seasoned and the fresh-faced.
Drowning Pool’s return is a testament to the enduring power of their music, a reminder that their unapologetic spirit continues to strike chords with audiences worldwide. The band experienced a triumphant resurgence in 2023 and with new music on the horizon, a 2024/25 calendar proving that the demand for the band isn’t about to slow down.., Drowning Pool has a white knuckle grip on their present and future with no plans to slow down.

SALIVA announced the SNAFU Le Tour 2023 with Drowning Pool,Adelitas Way and Any Given Sin that begins on September 10th in Norfolk, VA at Norva. The tour is in support of Saliva’s new album Revelation that drops on September 8, 2023. Saliva is coming off two charting singles, with the most recent “High on Me” reaching Top 20 in Mediabase and Billboard. Their current single “Come Back Stronger” is out now.
“We started working on this record in 2020 During the pandemic shutdown. I felt like we had to get outside of the box with this one. I’ve been sober almost 5 years now and there are many songs on this record that are a reflection of it. I just wanted to connect with the listener and pull them into what I was dealing with but also shed some light on overcoming personal adversity. With the passing of Wayne in March, I felt lost. Where do I go? I knew We had this record we were all stoked about. Waynes influence is all over these songs and in my opinion his playing on this album is next level. It’s the only right thing to do to honor him and all our hard work and release it. I just want to share with the world what we have worked on the last 3 plus years,” says Bobby Amaru.
Drowning Pool is reuniting with singer Ryan McCombs, this will mark their first tour back together.
“I’m excited as hell to be rocking out with Ryan McCombs back at the helm with us in Drowning Pool and touring together again with our brothers in Saliva! We hit it off as friends right out of the gate playing our first show together at WrestleMania 18 in 2002, and with Ryan on Ozzfest 2002. We’ve all had so many great festival shows and tours together throughout the years. Looking forward to sharing the stage once again with Saliva, having Ryan McCombs back with us in Drowning Pool, forever celebrating the memory of Dave Williams and Wayne Swinny, making new insane tour memories and kickass shows across the country. Can’t wait to perform and hang out with all of our friends and family at the rock shows! C’mon out and have a great time with us!” says Drowning Pool guitarist C.J. Pierce.
Ryan McCombs adds, “Drowning Pool and Saliva are two bands that not only have a rich history of their own but they’re two bands that have a great history of sharing the road together. This being my first extended run of dates back with my Drowning Pool family,I am horns-up and hells-to-the-yes that it’s also with Saliva! A GoFundMe fundraiser has been organized for guitarist Wayne Swinny‘s daughter after his death last week. The funds will go towards Wayne’s expenses and a trust for his daughter.
The Saliva family is mourning the tragic loss of our brother Wayne Swinny. Wayne left us suddenly from a spontaneous brain hemorrhage on March 22, 2023. Wayne fought hard, but ultimately lost his battle. The one bright light is the fact that Wayne was an organ donor and was able to donate his liver and kidneys which saved 2 lives.
Wayne leaves behind the love of his life; his beautiful 11-year-old daughter Nikki. Also, his sister Linda, his very tightly bonded Saliva family, countless friends, legions of musicians whom he inspired past and present, and millions of fans across the world.
The pain and loss his loved ones are experiencing is incomprehensible. We are setting up a donation link to help cover Wayne’s expenses and to create a trust for his daughter Nikki. Wayne will miss Nikki’s graduations, dances, extracurricular events, marriage, children…milestones, highlights and those times she would have needed her father’s guidance and strength by her side. We hope to be able to provide her with some support as she begins her journey in life without him. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
The Saliva family is overwhelmed by the amount of love we have received. Thank you all for the posts, calls, e-mails, texts, and prayers. They are greatly appreciated and helping everyone cope during this very trying time.
Wayne was my best friend and bandmate for nearly 12 years. His sister Linda and I discussed creating a gofundme so that a trust could be created for his daughter Nikki.
After acquiring front man Bobby Amaru in 2011, Saliva became infused with new blood, energy, and spirit. The same energy launched Saliva’s career in 2001 with the release, Every Six Seconds – a certified Double Platinum-selling album, containing the hits, “Click Click Boom” and 2002 Grammy nominated, “Your Disease.” Saliva’s in-your-face, anthemic writing style continued with a certified Gold-selling album Back in to Your System with hits: “Always,” “Raise Up,” and the Nikki Sixx co-written, “Rest In Pieces.”
Upon adding former Shinedown and Fuel bassist, Brad Stewart, as a permanent member, Saliva solidified their new lineup consisting of: Wayne Swinny, Sammi Jo Bishop and Amaru.
It is with great sadness that SALIVA report the passing of Wayne Swinny, the guitarist of the band. Wayne passed away this afternoon from a Spontaneous brain hemorrhage while on tour promoting their new single “High on Me.” Wayne will be missed by all those who knew him.
“I’m not even sure what to think or how to feel right now. My heart aches for Wayne’s family, his friends, and anyone who had the joy of being around him. My heart aches for his daughter Nikki. He loved that little girl so much. He was a Guitar Hero onstage with all the Rock ‘N’ Roll swag that most guitar players dream of. Offstage he was a proud father, an Ancient Aliens expert, and an incredible human who had zero enemies! He would go out of his way to make sure you had a good time. I’m grateful that I got to share almost 12 years of my life with Wayne on the stage and most importantly off the stage. He was the older brother I never had. I learned so much from him and we had a fucking blast together! I will cherish it all for the rest of my life! God Bless you Wayne. I know we’ll meet again!!”– Bobby Amaru
