Mercury Tide Feat Dirk Thurisch brought out their new album Killing Saw back in May and they have released their first single off of the album called Searching. The single contains an exclusive bonus track, our tribute to Iron Maiden. Mercury Tide says “We recorded our own version of the track “Caught Somewhere In Time” originally released as the title track of the all-time classic album “Somewhere In Time” back in 1986! The single is now available as video bundle at all download stores like iTunes, Musicload, Amazon MP3.

The single Searching is the first single off the album Killing Saw, the song itself has got some really good heavy riffs, some stunning solo’s, the vocal work is strong, also the lyrics in the chorus are very catchy. I think the band has really done well to pick this as a single as it has it all. The bonus song is an Iron Maiden tribute in which the song is Somewhere In Time. I think as an Iron Maiden fan myself that they have done really well with this. They have their own unique sound and vocals but I think they have done this justice and they have kept the song to its original sound.

Overall

The single itself is a good choice to be released as a single to be honest and I hope it does really well in the metal charts. As for the Iron Maiden tribute song the guys have done really well, they have kept just it as the original was recorded and if I was putting out another tribute album, this song would be at the top of my list to go on it.
