Season Of Ghosts

UK-based electronic metal band, SEASON OF GHOSTS, has just released new music! “IN HUBRIS” was mixed & mastered at Fusix Studios, Italy (Delain, Frozen Crown) and is the second consecutive release of Season of Ghosts’ upcoming 2023 album.

“IN HUBRIS” bears testament to the inevitability of crisis in human existence and society as a consequence. Committing to similar themes as those observed in “The Great Unknown”, released in August ’22, as well as older tracks like “What a time to be alive”, In Hubris balances intently between human imperfection and the proverbial beacon of hope.

Season of Ghosts emerged in Tokyo, Japan, as the side project of former Blood Stain Child singer, Sophia Aslanides. Later, the formation was completed by Zombie Sam on guitar and more recently, in 2022, by Lordt on drums and Tomas Eduardo on bass. The band is currently based in London, UK.

Season of Ghosts is a groundbreaking music project, dedicated to the love for the unseen, and film soundtracks. Conceived by Greek singer-songwriter, Sophia Aslanidou, the project came to life in October of 2013. The highly anticipated, debut concept album, entitled “THE HUMAN PARADOX”, was released internationally on the 8th of December, 2014 receiving enthusiastic reviews and critical acclaim. It was been mixed & mastered by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi, BLOOD STAIN CHILD, Princess Ghibli). MiA from MEJIBRAY (JP) appears as guitar guest on some tracks.

The concept narrates the circle of life through the eyes of a wanderer, a “time traveller”, starting from Genesis, going through the different phases and colours of human life, to finish with Reincarnation, thus marking the unending flow of universal energy.

Season of Ghosts combine extreme rock and metal sounds, harsh electronics and powerful, compelling vocals, through the eerie spectrum of a Sci-Fi, horror movie. Sophia is in charge of composition, lyrics and co-production and handles both melodic and distorted vocals in a unique, storytelling atmosphere, that is bound to captivate audiences around the globe. “The Human Paradox” features real orchestral sounds, recorded at Teatro Regio, Turin (IT), performed by members of the Millennium Orchestra.”
