Finnish metal outfit SEVEN AGAINST has released their debut album “Beneath The Shell” on Thursday 6.11.2014, in digital form. The physical cd is set to be released in January 2015. The recordings started early spring and post production took place at the end of summer. The album consists of 12 songs of which Bleach and Brotherhood is available for streaming, below.
”We wanted to make the best album possible. We had the option to only introduce new material on the album, but we felt that some of the older songs deserved to be on the album as well.
The whole recording process was a pain in the butt and we learned a lot the hard way. E.g. some parts where recorded several times because the equipment and software didn’t always work as planned. We still pulled it off and did a great album.
All songs fit in nicely, they sound great both as individual tracks and as a full length album and this is something to be really proud of” -says lead singer Toni Palmumaa of the recording process.
The album will be available as a digital release on e.g. SoundCloud, Spotify and iTunes Store as they get uploaded by the service provider. A small quantity of old fashioned CD’s for hardcore fans and audiophiles will also see the light of day in January 2015. The album was recorded and produced by Seven Against and the mixing was done at Studio Kekkonen by Mikko Raita who has been related to such names as Apocalyptica, Sunrise Avenue and Von Hertzen Brothers.

Seven Against is a Finnish band formed in 2008. The Band consists of Toni Palmumaa (vocals), Tuomo Henriksson (Guitar), JP Immonen (Bass) and Miko Saastamoinen (Drums). Since 2008 Seven Against has released three artist-made recordings; Demo 1 (2009), Nothing Remains (2010) and III (2012). In many occasions the music is often categorized as alternative metal but to describe the essence of Seven Against better, they are all about great and grooving guitar riffs, metal influenced playing and raw but yet catchy vocals. The music takes you literally deeper beneath the shell.
