Italian SHADOWS OF STEEL have released their new lyric video for ‘Power Of Dreams’, taken from from “Twilight II” album.
The band was formed in Genoa in October 1996 by Wild Steel (vocals), fresh out of Projecto, and Andrew Mc Pauls (keyboards).
The band completed the recordings of Twilight II with the help of many guests, including André La Fisìc, Francesco Molinelli, Steve Bone, Ross Lukather. A sort of family album that includes four original tracks and four covers like its predecessor. The album was released in digital format only in February 2022 and on CD in April 2024, enriched with four bonus tracks.
Currently, a new work is in the drafting phase.

Underground Symphony Records is pleased to announce the return of SHADOWS OF STEEL.
The band’s new work will be titled “Twilight II” and will be a sequel, both in content and packaging, to their smash hit “Twilight” released in 1998. Recorded and mixed by Andrew Spane at Dead Tree Sudios in Genoa. The album, in double CD digipack format, will be available starting February 21st.
The first single and lyric video “Power of Dreams” will be released in the next few days.

A new release has been scheduled by DIAMONDS PROD.
The label is working hard with the precious collaboration of Wild Steel, vocalist of Italian power metal band SHADOWS OF STEEL, and other musicians from various Italian bands, to release a Ronnie James Dio tribute album, entitled “Rock’nRoll Children”.

Formed in Genova in October 1996, the band recorded their first demo tape with four tracks in December of the same year. The sound emphasizes the technical skills of keyboardist Andrew Mc Pauls and Wild Steel supported by guitarist Andre The Fisic, bassist Steve Vawamas and drummer Gianca.
The band began recording their debut album in March 1997, in November, with the help of Frank Andiver, Olaf Thorsen and Chris Breeze from. LABYRINTH of which reinforce the style of composition, melody-speed-metal with progressive influences, inspired by bands like Helloween, Kamelot and Crimson Glory.
The first album called “Shadows of Steel” is a concept album, a story of madness and fantasy brought from a mind that travels through time and space.
The lyrics leave the listener with freedom of interpretation. In March 1998, drummer Frank Andiver and ‘an integral part of the band starts recording a double mini-CD “Twilight.” In November of the same year he released “Twilight” with four new songs and four covers of American heavy metal bands like Agent Steel, Exxplorer, Savage Grace and Crimson Glory. In this album there was two bassists Steve and Andrea Tower Torricini Vawamas. In that year and the next Shadows of Steel participating in several European Festivals dates and tours. Meanwhile, keyboardist Andrew Mc Pauls left the band and become a permanent member of LABYRINTH and VISION DIVINE.
For the new full-length album entitled “Second Floor”, the band enlisted two new guitarists, Yackson and Ice Reaven, the album sees the light in 2002, this work ends what started with the first album, maintaining the same style of writing: acute and dramatic voice, symphonic arrangements and electronic melodic guitar solos.
Unfortunately sales are low and the mood of the band is at its lowest, Wild Steel then dedicated to personal projects and collaborations with other artists and groups such as Athlantis and Soulblaze; from 2002 to 2012 worked with a variety of tribute bands, Maiden of Dreams, Suicide Solution, Kissology and produced his first solo album titled “Wild Steel” released in 2007.
In 2011, Shadows of Steel gets together for a couple of gigs, it’s a new beginning, Wild Steel and Andrew Mc Pauls are ready to write the material for a new album, at the same time the long awaited new album entitled “Crown of Steel” is released in the fall of 2013. By the end of 2013 Frank Andiver leaves the band because of personal problems and he’s been replaced by Ross Lukather (Shining Fury, Athena, Death SS) for a couple of shows. By the end of February 2014 the bass player Steve Vawamas leaves permanently the band because of profund personal divergences with the singer Wild Steel, the new bass player is Francesco Molinelli from the prog-metal band Geminy.
KAMELOT tribute band, Italian GHOST OPERA return to Genoa for a special show, announcing Fabio Lione (Rhapsody of Fire, Vision Divine, Kamelot, Angra, Labyrinth, Ayreon, Hollow Haze) as special guest. The show will take place on December 7 at Nostradamus Club in Genoa – Italy.
To open the show are the Italian Power Metallers SHADOWS OF STEEL, promoting their new album “Crown of Steel”. The band makes official the new entry of Ross Lukather on drums, already in force for over two years and as well as presents the new bassist Francesco Molinelli which will replace Steve Vawamas, now too involved in several other projects. Furthermore SHADOWS OF STEEL unveils to be “almost ready” to enter the EAM Agentyr roster. More information will be given shortly.
