Century Media Records has issued the following:

“Shrine Of The Pentagram” – the entire recordings of TREBLINKA – is out now. Available as either a 3CD Mediabook or a deluxe 5LP box set, the release includes the entire recordings of this infamous bands. In order to prevent the material to be bootlegged again and again, “Shrine Of The Pentagram” offers not only the well-known demos “Crawling In Vomits” and “The Sign Of The Pentagram” as well as the tracks of the legendary “Severe Abominations” 7inch, but also five rehearsal tracks, a total of 21 live tracks (of which eight have never been available anywhere) and – as a special bonus – the entire “Sumerian Cry” album as an instrumental studio outtake.

Treblinka

All songs have been remastered for best sound quality. Especially the two demo have never sounded better. The raw rehearsal tracks and the chaotic live material have been dedusted and now sound surprisingly fresh and listenable. No comparison to all the weak sounding bootlegs that have been circulating the last couple of years.

We really thought a lot about the most disgusting things we could think of, and came up with stuff like earwigs crawling around in your veins – and hence, we had a song title. When we made a flyer it wasn’t just one inverted cross, it was more like 4000!”

This release was done in full cooperation with the band. Besides the musical content you get a very interesting interview that Daniel Ekeroth (author of “Swedish Death Metal”) did with Stefan “Emetic” Lagergren and Jörgen “Juck” Thullberg. And Olivier Badin (writer for Terrorizer and Iron Fist) had a long chat with Johan “Hellslaughter” Edlund about his view on the band today. No doubt, “Shrine Of The Pentagram” tells you the whole story of TREBLINKA.
