UK hardcore heavyweights DESOLATED have inked a multiple album deal with Siege Of Amida / Century Media Records for the world excluding the USA.
The band’s official statement for the signing went as follows:
‘It’s rad to have a label that actually understands what we want to do when it comes to our next record; I like the people that run it and support what they are doing. Our new record will be out next year via Century/Siege and it will be the heaviest record we have ever done. Peace and love’ Richy – Desolated
Since their formation in 2007, DESOLATED have grown into one of the most fearsome prospects the UK has to offer. With a legion of crazed pit soldiers at their behest, DESOLATED have gained a palpable notoriety for their uncompromisingly violent sound and the resultant carnage that follows when they bring that very sound to the live circuit.
Having announced a 7″ entitled ‘Fear Of Life’ as the next new offering on its way, huge anticipation is now in place for the next forthcoming full length, scheduled for a Spring 2015 release.

One of the most talked about new acts emerging from an ever growing and ever thriving UK underground scene, ‘Malev’ as they are known have developed a truly fearsome reputation as one fo the tightest, heaviest and most devastating live acts in the UK. To top it all off , the band has an average age of 19!
After releasing a two track demo, which caught the attention of every hardcore and metal kid in the North of England, it was only a matter of time before the ripples Malevolence were creating would turn into nation wide tidal waves.
The band’s reputation for explosively heavy live shows and some of the mostdevastating pit action this side of hell resulted in shows with the likes of Hatebreed, While She Sleeps, Heart Of A Coward, Nasty, Terror, Vision Of Disorder and The Acacia Strain.
Like a bastard hybrid of Pantera, Biohazard, Hatebreed, Life Of Agony and Lamb Of God, Malevolence’s sound is remarkable in its influences given their youth. Not since STAMPIN’ GROUND has such an exciting Metallic Hardcore hybrid emerged from these shores.
NEVER QUIT THE PIT.

Century Media Records have announced a worldwide partnership with reputable UK indie Siege Of Amida Records (known as SOAR).
This new deal sees SOAR utilised as a central launch pad for the Metal and Hardcore genres, focusing predominantly on the increasingly vibrant UK underground scene and launching emerging International acts onto the circuit.
Century Media are one of the leading independent labels in the industry, boasting a gigantic back catalogue and a roster that spans almost every sub-genre within the sphere, as well as a reputation for being one of the strongest Metal labels in the world.
(Jens Prüter / Head Of A&R Century Media Records & Jamie Graham / Label Manager Siege Of Amida Records)
Century Media label manager Antje Lange says of the deal: “We feel honoured and excited to work with the highly acclaimed label Siege Of Amida. They’ve proved that they have the Midas touch and the instinct for catching great new bands early and we are confident that we can put the label to the next level, on a worldwide basis.“
After starting the careers of the likes of Whitechapel, Annotations Of An Autopsy, Heart In Hand, Ingested, TRC and Dyscarnate as well as being the European vessel for US bands such as Impending Doom and Molotov Solution, SOAR is reputed for being one of the leading labels spearheading a movement of new exciting bands within extreme music. Many of their past bands are now with larger, internationally established labels such as Metal Blade, Victory, eOne and Nuclear Blast; this deal sees them no longer in the shadow of larger labels and able to compete with the heavyweights on every level.
SOAR Director Jamie Graham adds: ‘After 6 years of building this label from a comparatively low level, starting out in our bedrooms, we looked back at our catalogue of releases and at the bands that moved onto bigger labels and our current roster. We realised we had something special to build on there- Century and their team understand the vision I have for this label and this deal allows our distribution and promotional network to increase a hundred fold. Working with a company as diverse, reputable and ambitious as Century Media in order to take SOAR to the next stage is the logical step for us to take. It will mean great things for our artists and for the labels growth as a whole.’
The first release to emerge from this new partnership will be from fast rising UK crew HEART IN HAND, releasing their second full length ‘Almost There’ on May 13th.
