TEMPLETON PEK: Premieres New Video “Slow Burn”, Upcoming European Tour

According to Century Media Records, Today, UK’s punk rock trio TEMPLETON PEK and VISIONS Magazine have teamed-up to premiere the video of the track “Slow Burn”, taken from their latest album “Signs” which was released in April this year. You can watch the video here: www.visions.de

The band comments: “Playing live is a massive part of what we do, we are a live band not a manufactured band. So it felt only right to release a video with live footage from all the tours and festivals we have played over the past couple of years. “Slow Burn” is a song that always goes down well wherever we play live and it’s also one of our favourite songs, one we will probably always play, so it fits nicely with the retrospective style of the video. We’re really looking forward to touring Europe with Versus The World and getting back on the road playing our new album ‘Signs” live again.”The Century Media Debut “Signs” was produced by multi-platinum music producer and songwriter Shep Goodman (Head Automatica, Bayside, Four Year Strong).

After having toured with Nations Afire throughout Europe, TEMPLETON PEK will soon head further westwards to support the mighty Versus The World.

Century Media Records have announced:

The UK punk rock trio from Birmingham, TEMPLETON PEK, have recently finished recording their forthcoming album “Signs” in the States with producer Shep Goodman and have posted a video from the studio. Neal Mitchell (vocals, bass) comments: “It was fun looking back at how this album was born along with the mini adventure we had in the USA, when it was all happening there wasn’t any time to take it all in. It was a massively new and exciting process for us working with big producers and a production team being a band born from DIY ethics, it pushed us further as writers and a band but we’re totally confident in the result.”

Century Media has issued that The UK punk rock trio from Birmingham, TEMPLETON PEK, has revealed the album artwork and track listing for their highly anticipated album “Signs” which will be released via Century Media Records on April 29th in Europe and April 30rd in North America!

Century Media has announced that The UK punk rock trio from Birmingham, TEMPLETON PEK, have recently finished recording their forthcoming album “Signs” in the States with producer Shep Goodman. The album is due for release on 29th April on Century Media Records.

The band comments: “We are beyond excited to finally announce the release of our brand new album “Signs.” Predominantly recorded last year in New York USA with Producer Shep Goodman (Four Years Strong, Bayside), and also featuring two tracks from our UK sessions with Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, INME). It’s a collection of songs that we feel perfectly represents our sound and us for both familiar ears to the band and new audiences alike.”

“Signs” will immediately resonate with people that are no strangers with TEMPLETON PEK’s sound. Comparisons can and will be drawn to the likes of Rise Against, Funeral For A Friend, Story Of The Year, or even the early days of the Foo Fighters galvanized with influences from the 90’s Fat Wreck and So-Cal movements. The new album is a blatant in-your-face display of TEMPLETON PEK’s confidence in their art and their unapologetic belief in what they do.

TEMPLETON PEK spent the summer of 2011 supporting USA giants Rise Against across Europe and appearing alongside Good Charlotte and Bullet for My Valentine at major festivals. The band signed to Century Media Records and headed into Modern World Studios with producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers /Bullet For My Valentine) to create their EP “Slow Down For Nothing” which was released in 2012 and was supported with live dates alongside SUM 41 and Four Year Strong.

In Flames Signs With Century Media Records

Swedish metallers IN FLAMES have inked a deal with Century Media Records. The band’s tenth album, “Sounds Of A Playground Fading”, will be released on the following dates:

Sweden – June 15
Germany – June 17
Rest Of Europe – June 20
North America – June 21

The first single will be out in early May.

13 songs were laid down for the CD, which was recorded at the band’s IF Studios in Gothenburg with engineer Roberto Laghi (HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, LOK, SONIC SYNDICATE).

In an exclusive interview with the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, IN FLAMES vocalist Anders Fridén, 38, revealed that “Sounds Of A Playground Fading” will almost certainly challenge the band’s fans’ musical expectations.

“We have some songs that pretty much go against the hard rock formula,” he said. “There’s a song called ‘The Attic’ where we have an accordion playing the chorus instead of me singing it. Another song begins with a spoken-word part that evolves into a kind of hard DEPECHE MODE-type thing. We also have some really fast, typical IN FLAMES tunes.

He added, “We’ve never denied where we come from, but at the same time we like to challenge our listeners.”
