The original 1996 release of Skin The Living marked the beginning of JUNGLE ROT’s reign over Midwest metal and put the Wisconsin foursome on the map. Almost 20 years later, this classic debut album is coming out of the vault. On February 19^th, the band will rerelease the newly mixed and remastered Skin The Living. Not just a welcomed memory for metal fans, vocalist Dave Matrise reflects on loyal fans and sticking to their roots. Watch the video below.

Victory Records has announced that the Wisconsin-based, four-piece death metal act JUNGLE ROT will be re-issuing their newly re-mastered 1996 classic album, Skin The Living, coming February 19th, 2013. Pre-order packages are now available through the Victory Records’ webstore. Order now!

Front man Dave Matrise comments “We’ve wanted to re-issue Skin The Living for some time now and are happy that we have that opportunity. I still feel this album stands up to the test of times. This will give everyone a chance to see where it all started for J-Rot and they will have a chance to own a rare piece.”

JUNGLE ROT has been destroying the metal scene since 1994 proving the quality of their production matched their live performance, solidifying their spot as major players in the death metal scene. They signed to Victory Records in April 2011 and shortly after released Kill on Command, some of their heaviest material to date. Throwing down the gauntlet, they integrated slow stomp melodies into their speed-thrash style, bringing the band back to their death metal roots. Their years of hard work landed them on tours with many death metal legends such as OBITUARY, DEICIDE, ENTOMBED, SIX FEET UNDER, GOATWHORE, CATTLE DECAPITATION and more.
