Swedish heavy/power metal veterans, TAD MOROSE will embark on a European tour this September, in support of their new album titled “St. Demonius“. They will be joined by their fellow countrymen in SILENT CALL.
TAD MOROSE have been part of the heavy metal scene for over 20 years, and so far time they released seven studio albums. Their newest, eighth offering, “St. Demonius” is scheduled for the August 28th release via Despotz Records. The new album is the second release in a row featuring ex-Steel Attack singer Ronny Hemlin, after the release of 2013’s “Revenant.” The band released two video singles from “St. Demonius” (see below), and are ready to launch a new song titled “Black Fire Rising” on August 12th.
In an interview with metalshockfindland.com, guitarist Christer “Krunt” Andersson said about the new album following: “It’s TAD MOROSE kind of metal, a little bit more of everything I think. A lot of the lyrics are about the crap that’s going around in today’s world, people never ever seem to learn from history. And all the religious bullshit that’s going on, why can’t people just sit back, shut up, play heavy metal, drink beer, smile and have a good time? Let everyone believe in whatever they believe, as long as they don’t hurt anybody. That’s a lot of the things going on in the lyrics.”
For the upcoming dates, TAD MOROSE will be joined by Silent Call, a melodic progressive metal band featuring singer Göran Nyström, who are currently working on their fourth studio album. The complete tour dates are shown on the poster below.

Metal Shock Finland Senior Manager Blackdiamond states:
“I’m loving this new track from TAD MOROSE! It’s full of catchy melodies with a great classic heavy sound, completed by Ronny’s powerful vocals – I’m really looking forward to the release of St Demonius!”
TAD MOROSE is a heavy metal band from Bollnäs, Sweden, formed in 1991. The debut album “Leaving the Past Behind” was released by Black Mark Production in November 1993. That album was followed by the “Sender of Thoughts” album, released in 1995. They toured Europe together with Cemetary, Memento Mori and Morgana Lefay that same year. In November 1996 the mini album “Paradigma” was released which was co-produced by Mike Wead (King Diamond). This was to be the last album with Kristian Andrén on vocals. The new singer, Urban Breed debuted on the 1997 release “A Mended Rhyme” which was to be the last release on Black Mark.
The year 2000 saw the dawn of a re-formed line-up, now with twin guitars instead of the earlier guitar and keyboard setup, a new record deal, now with Century Media and a brand new album “Undead”. The band played at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany just to mention one. In 2002 the “Matters of the Dark” album was released and saw the band touring over Europe together with NWOBHM legends Demon as well as playing their first show in USA at the Milwaukee Metal Fest. In 2003 TAD MOROSE headlined one of the stages on the Sweden Rock Festivals in front of a huge crowd. Later the same year saw the release of “Modus Vivendi” and the band returned to USA to play the Prog Power Festival in Atlanta. They also did a show at BB King´s Bar and Grill in New York together with the German band Edguy, with whom they earlier had toured Scandinavia with. “Modus Vivendi” was to be the last one with Urban Breed and the last release on Century Media. The band parted ways with singer Urban Breed due to that it had come to the point where it no longer was possible to work together. They found a new singer in Joe Comeau (ex – Annihilator, ex – Overkill, ex – Lige Lord) But due to the fact that he was based in the USA it was hard for the band to get things going and they got dropped by Century Media.
A long period of pure nothing followed and they parted ways with Joe and found a new singer in Ronny Hemlin (ex Steel Attack) The work on the next album continued and finally, in 2013 they signed with Despotz Records and released the long awaited album “Revenant” which got a very warm welcome by both fans and media. During this long period of time the band had gone through a lot of line-up changes leaving only founder Christer “Krunt” Andersson (guitars) as the only remaining original member and Peter Morén (Drums) who had joined the band back in 1994. The new line-up was completed with bassist Tommi Karppanen (ex Morgana Lefay) and guitarist Kenneth Jonsson (ex Torch).
The band has now completed the recording of their 8th full length album. The album is titled “St Demonius” and it contains of twelve brand new typical TAD MOROSE songs. More straight forward, more unnecessary complicated, slower, faster, more melodic and heavier in other words!
“St. Demonius” will be released by Despotz Records in late August 2015 and soon after that TAD MOROSE will head out on a headline tour in Europe.
