Steelfest Open Air 2014 final lineup and festival program is ready. Last minute changes appeared when Nokturnal Mortum announced band’s cancellation of their upcoming gigs including Steelfest Open Air 2014. The reasons for cancellation are due to the unstable situation of Ukraine and problems with line-up of the band. Read the band’s message below:

I’m sorry, but we have to cancel our performance at Steelfest Open Air this year (as well as other Nokturnal Mortum shows in the near future) due to problems with line-up of the group. Recently guitarist Aywar left the band due to objective serious health issues. Besides that, the position of Saturious in band is unclear too – alas, his departure from the group is also possible. And, unfortunately, we do not know what will happen in Ukraine in the nearest weeks and months – it is likely that we just will have no right to leave the territory of our country in May of this year.

I hope that you understand that because of the problems mentioned above, we are just not able to play a valuable show for the visitors of Steelfest Open Air.

I am very grateful to you for your attention to Nokturnal Mortum and I will be happy to play at your festival next time when the band will have capable full live line-up, and there will be peace in the land of Ukraine.

After the unfortunate cancellation of Nokturnal Mortum the festival lineup is fortified with three new bands, NECROPHOBIC (SWE), ARCHGOAT (FI) and HAUTAKAMMIO (FI).

Steelfest Demoni  -competition for unsigned bands has ended and the winner is death metal band APOCRYFAL  from Jyväskylä Finland. Apocryfal will be performing on Saturday 17.5. sharing the stage with extreme metal elite such as Vader and Primordial among others.

With these latest band additions the final ilneup is:

Official festival after partys will take place at club Jalostamo near the venue. There will be two bands both nights, on Friday KYÖPELI and MAIDEN HELL, on Saturday HELLBOOZER UNION and Death –tribute band SUICIDE MACHINE.

One day ticket for the festival costs 49€ (+ Tiketti commission) and for the after partys 10€ per night.

The third and last Pre-STEELFEST  -party introduces Finnish black metal.
