Steve Foglia is Jennifer Scream’s drummer since 2007; the band has been touring with artists such as Hardcore Superstar, Glenn Hughes, Pretty Boy Floyd, Linea 77, Adam Bomb and Michael Monroe and its second album features Thomas Silver (Hardcore Superstar guitarist) as special guest.
In 2011, Steve publishes his first solo work “Revenge”, a concept album based on the legend of “Angst”, a famous abandoned hotel in Liguria, Italy, next to the French border. Mike Vescera (singer for Yngwie Malmsteen and Loudness) and Adam Bomb are the special guests on this album, that gets positive reviews from all over the world; to promote his work, Steve pools a band and performs in several Italian cities.
“Steve In Wonderland”, Steve Foglia’s second work, features 11 hard rock songs. He starts working on this album on October 2012 by composing the music and writing all the lyrics; after that, he starts the recording session on April 2013.
“Wonderland” is Steve’s imaginary world made of thoughts, memories and reflections that mark out the tracks featured in the album. The musicians engaged in this project are Johnny Idol on vocals, Federico Mineva and Daniele Arieta on guitars, Edoardo Tavanti on keyboard, Maurizio Dedoni (Alessio Menconi’s bass player) on bass and, of course, Steve Foglia on drums and percussions. The song “Fight For Justice” is performed by Blaze Bayley, Iron Maiden’s singer between 1994 and 1999. The guitar solo on “Wrong Hole” is by Zantolo, guitar player from the French glam rock band Rakel Traxx. Simone “Seth” Borsellini (singer for Sfregio and Fumonero bands) and Francesca Foglia sing on “Enemy’s Collection” and “Walking In Wonderland”. Steve also decides to dust off an old 70’s song by Grand Funk Railroad, “We’re An American Band”. The album was produced by Steve Foglia, who also mixed it together with Edoardo Tavanti, and mastered by well-known producer and musician Dario Mollo (The Cage, Tony Martin, Voodoo Hill, Glenn Hughes).
Before focusing on his second work, Steve records the drums for the song “The Only Way” by Rebel Addiction band, featuring Fabrizio Bonanno, Stefano Valentini and legendary Goran Edman (singer for Yngwie Malmsteen). Steve also teaches drums in several music schools in the Ligurian area.
