Swedish metal quartet Stygian Fair unveil their highly anticipated full-length album, The Hidden Realm, out now on all digital platforms and in physical format as of July 11th via Rockshots Records.
The album kicks off with its powerful title track, blending thrashy riffs with a dark, honest narrative. The journey ahead explores the battle between choice and destiny through 11 tracks that touch on themes of social decay, spiritual unrest, and inner reckoning.
No clicks, no gimmicks, just pure, guitar-driven heavy metal. “The Hidden Realm” is sharper, more melodic, and more direct than their previous release “Aradia”, marking a significant evolution in their sound.
From the haunting “Abide Your Master” to the introspective “All Of Us” and the soaring “Rise from the Shadows,” this album is raw and impactful, delivering an unforgettable experience.

Following the raw intensity of their previous single “Abide Your Master”, Swedish heavy epic metallers Stygian Fair unveil a new and more introspective side of their upcoming album “The Hidden Realm” with the release of “All Of Us” — available now on all digital platforms alongside an official music video on the Rockshots RecordsYouTube channel.
Described by the band as “the closest we’ll come to a ballad on this record”, “All Of Us” explores themes of loneliness and conscience, trading thunder for nuance while keeping the emotional impact intact. With its haunting melodies and melancholic undertones, the track stands as a powerful reflection on the fragile spaces between isolation and inner strength.
The upcoming full-length “The Hidden Realm” marks a new chapter for Stygian Fair — sharper, more melodic, and more direct than ever before, yet uncompromising in its authenticity. Lyrically, the album dives deep into modern chaos and ancient myth alike, tackling everything from AI, political cults, and consumerism to existential reckoning and forgotten histories. It’s a record about the truths we bury, the world we ignore, and the cost of staying silent.
Known for their refusal to chase trends or rely on backing tracks, Stygian Fair keep things real, both in the studio and on stage. Their live performances are raw, honest, and deeply human. No masks. No click tracks. Just honest, melodic, heavy music delivered with purpose.
Featuring members with deep roots in the Scandinavian metal scene — including Andreas Stoltz (Hollow, Binary Creed), Emil Holmqvist and P-O Jonsson (Crave), and Anders Hedman (Witch) — Stygian Fair blends epic heavy metal with progressive influences and strong, emotionally driven songwriting. Their sound has been described as “uncompromising, melodic and timeless”, drawing comparisons to bands like Tad Morose and Memento Mori.
With “All Of Us,” Stygian Fair shows that heaviness doesn’t always come from volume—sometimes, it comes from honesty.

Swedish metal outfit Stygian Fair return with a brand-new single titled “Abide Your Master”, now available on all digital platforms. The track offers a first taste of their forthcoming full-length album, “The Hidden Realm” slated for release via Rockshots Records.
With a strong discography that includes “Panta Rei” (2018), “Nadir” (2020), “Equilibrium” (2021) and the critically acclaimed “Aradia” (2023), Stygian Fair continue to carve out their own path, defying trends and embracing pure, emotionally resonant metal. “Abide Your Master” takes on the dangers of blind obedience — of abandoning your conscience to follow a demagogue without question. Heavy, urgent and unflinching, it asks what happens when we stop thinking for ourselves… and start worshipping the very force that’s leading us over the edge.
While details about “The Hidden Realm” remain under wraps, the album sees Stygian Fair pushing further than ever before — more direct, more melodic, and more accessible without losing the edge that defines them. They’ve sharpened both their sound and their message; the songs hit faster, dig deeper, and speak louder. Lyrically, “The Hidden Realm” explores everything from political collapse and mass delusion to natural disaster, ancient mysteries, and inner reckoning. It’s a record about the worlds we ignore, the truths we tend to bury, and the consequences of silence.
For fans of Tad Morose, Memento Mori, and those who long for metal with both weight and heart, “Abide Your Master” is a compelling invitation into the world of Stygian Fair—a world where music is crafted with intention, passion, and no compromises.

Sweden’s STYGIAN FAIR will be releasing its new album entitled “Aradia” this coming August via Rockshots Records. It is the band’s fourth full-length and follows “Equilibrium” (2021), “Nadir” (2020), and the debut “Panta Rei” (2018).
Formed originally in Umeå, Sweden, Stygian Fair‘s new album “Aradia” features new vocalist/guitarist Andreas Stoltz (Binary Creed, Hollow) along with Emil Holmqvist (Guitar), Anders Hedman (Bass), and P-O Jonsson (Drums). The music is heavy, pondering, and a unique blend of new and old, heavy epic metal.
Featuring 10 tracks of assorted AOR melodic metal, “Aradia” will touch and transport listeners to a place where melodies, words, and musicianship become emotion and images.
“We rely on good melodies and the rhythm section is, as from the beginning, vital to the band’s sound. Now that Andreas is in the band there is more room to play around with the guitar parts, so that might be something different on this album. But we think that old fans won’t be disappointed with Aradia!”
“Aradia” is a monument of honest metal. The band has no ambition of jumping aboard any current music fads but does whatever they like and feel works when they play together. There are softer songs and heavier songs, but all of them will convey something to fans, especially those who enjoy Rush, Memento Mori, or Tad Morose.
“Aradia is one of those albums you’ll return to many, many times. We’ve made it heavy, metal, and totally honest. There’s beauty here, there’s sadness, anger, loss, and longing. Things you’ll be able to relate to. That’s important to Stygian Fair since you’re important to us. Why else would we be doing this? We’re really pleased with the diversity of the songs: plenty of heavy guitars, drums that propel and persuade, a bass that moves and grooves plus of course singing that speaks to your soul in whispers and screams. We think you’ll like it!” adds the band.
Today, the band shares their new music video for the second single “Masters of The Sea”.
“Since we come from Sweden we are most likely descendants of Viking warriors. Perhaps that’s why we wrote this song and also tried to compensate a bit for all the pillage and such by switching perspectives during the chorus to the victims. This song is a must for anyone who finds songs about swords and drake-ships hard to resist.” adds the band.

The band’s first single and title track is now available to hear and is being unveiled with an accompanying music video.
Stygian Fair comments:
“Aradia is based upon a 20-year-old riff and it’s great that it finally evolved into a full song. Now it’s really a band effort with all members participating with their individual expression. We think Aradia conveys the urgency and mood of a clandestine coven, worshipping the many deities of Mother Nature. With all that’s going on with the climate a greater respect for Her is definitely called for.”
“Aradia” is due out on August 25th, 2023 via Rockshots Records and is available for pre-order at https://bit.ly/StygianFairAradia
