The modern melodic metal aficionados have come through with an uncompromising single, “Set Yourself Free” – a bonus track cut from the official digital deluxe version of the album, out today via Napalm Records! Rhythmic guitars meet melodies and grand compositions, unfolding TEMPERANCE‘s combined vocal powers to their fullest potential. “Set Yourself Free” is one of TEMPERANCE‘s heaviest songs yet!
This melodic metal triumph prepares listeners for the band’s upcoming show in London at Underworld on March 29, 2022. That night, the Italian quintet will proudly headline The International Women of Rock Unity Tour as a special guest, alongside Control The Storm and Alia Tempora.
Marco Pastorino (vocals, guitar) comments on the new single: “‘Set Yourself Free’ is probably the most modern metal track we recorded during Diamanti‘s sessions. It’s an extra song for special moments like this, so we decided to release it to celebrate our comeback on stage after two years. Enjoy and let’s sing it with us!”

In this album you will find our trademarks: the vocal harmonies, the catchy melodies, but also epic stuff, strong arrangements, and long tracks – I am very proud of Diamanti and I am convinced we have written a bombastic album!”
After releasing “Pure Life Unfolds” & “Breaking The Rules Of Metal”, symphonic metal powerhouse TEMPERANCE reveals their upcoming album’s title track “Diamanti”. With the third single, the band enters the final round before the eponymous album arrives.
On “Diamanti”, TEMPERANCE show off their versatile skillset with a mix of heavy guitar riffs, orchestral strings and the vocal harmonies of its authentic Italian chorus. As a special highlight and to celebrate their new album, the band will release this song in five! different versions. Besides the Italian original which is out today, the track will come with a chorus in different languages (German, English, Spanish and French) to be available at digital streaming and download platforms on the album release date. TEMPERANCE delights the fans with their perfect mixture melodic and symphonic soundscapes. “Diamanti” is yet just another example of the band’s ability to create an epic tale for their listeners, accompanied by powerful and energetic vocals.

They’re almost indestructible. They’re valuable and also intangible: they inspire hope. The diamonds that rain throughout this beautiful song signify hopes for a better world, hopes for our dreams to come true, hopes for peace and joy. Since hopes are timeless and have no borders, we wanted to make this song flow through many languages. We wanted to use the language of music, which I represent in the video. The language of nature, which Marco represents in the video. The language of arts and beauty, which Alessia represents in the video. And we wanted everyone to understand the meaning of this song, even those who cannot listen to it but can use their eyes to read the message. Hopes are forever, hopes are for everyone.”

Michele Guaitoli (vocals, piano) on the new single: “If there is one thing that makes Temperance unique on the scene, is that we just don’t care about any commercial rule. We write our music for how we like it. We don’t ask ourselves “will this work?” We don’t question our songwriting putting it in relation of the market. This attitude is the same that we have when it comes to accepting limits: we don’t accept the idea of having limits. We are here to break the rules. Why just one singer? Let’s have three. Why just a style? Let’s play many. If we want something, we fight for it even if we need to break the rules of a certain scheme. What about heavy metal? Does it have rules? Does it have a scheme? If yes, we’re here to break it.”

Basically, the intro and the chorus are the only elements that didn’t change if not for some little adjustments, the verses and the overall structure has been re-arranged during our songwriting sessions and the final result is just magic. This track leaves you breathless and makes your heart beating fast from the beginning to the end.”

The new single, “Paint The World“, is one of the six acoustic renditions of songs from their critically acclaimed album, Viridian, found on the melodic/symphonic metal outfit’s new EP. After many years of band history and tours with genre giants like NIGHTWISH, Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY and TARJA, TEMPERANCE will release Melodies Of Green And Blue – a gift to their loyal fans!
On this acoustic version, sparkling musical production hits multi-layered vocal harmonies in a dense and catchy acoustic composition. With “Paint The World”, TEMPERANCE invites you into a stripped back musical setting, offering glorious melodies and rich chords to pleasantly get lost in!
Singer Michele Guaitoli about “Paint The World”: „Together with the emotion of going acoustic, we also had the chance to write some brand new tracks for this acoustic EP, moving away from the original style of the band. Even though we released tracks like “Gaia” or “Scent of Dye” before, “Paint The World” is a semi-acoustic ballad that would have been hard to include in any other TEMPERANCE’s record as it too much in between the acoustic world and the electric world. Like many other times in TEMPERANCE’s history, we immediately took advantage of this possibility that Napalm gave us, to experiment with something different and new. I believe in this song as you can clearly feel the influences of our youth, the alternative rock of the early 2000s, and the beginning of our musical dreams: the dreams of a bunch of kids who wanted to paint their own picture of this world.“
Furthermore, Michele Guaitoli comments on the Melodies Of Green And Blue EP: “We’ve been talking about recording some acoustic versions of our tracks for a long time, as we all love the intimate and emotional feeling that this particular style can offer to any tracks. If you think of it, this is how most of our songs are composed: it’s Marco on his guitar or me on the piano. Everything for us begins in acoustic before going metal. This EP is a little dream come true, as we can finally show the heart of our music in its purest version.”
