Midlands based hard rock band, THE BAD FLOWERS have today launched their official lyric video to promote their new single ‘Who Needs A Soul’. The single is released on Friday 14^th September and coincides with their Planet Rocks Presents co-headline with Federal Charm starting at the Bristol Thekla on Wednesday 19^th September. The venue for their upcoming show in Nottingham has been changed to The Bodega on Friday 21^st September.

The Bad Flowers meteoric rise to fame kicked off when the band released their critically acclaimed debut album Starting Gun in February 2018. The album spawned to radio tracks on Planet Rock Thunder Child and Hurricane. The band embarked on a UK tour supporting Stone Broken and Jared James Nichols the same month. This summer, The Bad Flowers play several music festivals including Steelhouse, Stone Free, Hard Rock Hell, followed by Planet Rockstock in December. Their recently released debut album Starting Gun is the follow up to 2016’s self-titled EP and shows the great progression of song writing and musicianship of The Bad Flowers over the past two years.

The band were named as one of Planet Rock Radio’s “Ones To Watch”. Thunder Child, the first single taken from the Starting Gun, gained heavy airplay and was described by the station as “pure, dynamic, riff-heavy rock ‘n’ roll delivered with passion and prowess.” The Bad Flowers next single to be serviced to rock radio is Who Needs A Soul which will be accompanied with an official music video. The band have received rave reviews and press coverage in the rock press including Powerplay, Planet Rock Magazine, Rock Society, Fireworks and HRH Magazine. The band features Tom Leighton (vocals, guitar), Dale Bollard Tonks (bass) and Karl Selickis (drums).

American singer-songwriter and guitarist JARED JAMES NICHOLS and British rock band THE BAD FLOWERS are thrilled to announce that they will be supporting STONE BROKEN on their February/March 2018 UK Tour. The tour starts at the Brighton Haunt on Thursday 22nd February.

The Wisconsin-born, Los Angles based singer and guitarist, JARED JAMES NICHOLS, releases his new album “Black Magic” on Friday 27th October via Listenable Records. All tracks on the new album were recorded at The Boneyard in Boston as well as Johnny Depp’s home studio in Los Angeles and produced and co-written by Tony Perry and Jared James Nichols. THE BAD FLOWERS hail from Cannock (Wolverhampton) the hometown of Glenn Hughes. Once again the Black Country serves up a formidable new heavy riff laden rock band. THE BAD FLOWERS formed from the depths of the Black Country in 2014 comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist, Tom Leighton, whose signature riffs, fuzz emotive guitar and pure vocals have distinctive sound unlike anybody else. Bassist Dale Tonks provides a deep heavy groove and tasty bass runs that underpins Karl Selickis’ chest pumping drums and impeccable rhythmic feel.

The combination of these three formidable players makes THE BAD FLOWERS a force to be reckoned with, forging a sound steeped in the raw, passionate energy of the Black Country’s 70’s heroes, but, at the same time, keeping the vibe very much in tune with the 21st century rock sensibilities.

In the formative years of 2014/15 THE BAD FLOWERS gained a reputation for their energetic live shows in local pubs, clubs and venues cutting their teeth with the local older and more experienced musicians and soaking up as much stagecraft as possible. During this productive time of wild abandon, The Bad Flowers released the Vicious Lullabies EP and Killing Time EP’s.

That same year was a breakthrough in terms of live shows. THE BAD FLOWERS left the local venues in a wake of blood, sweat and ringing ears when they opened for Canadian rockers The Sheepdogs in Birmingham, then onward to extensive tours up and down the UK to packed venues with Crobot, Jared James Nichols and Scorpion Child, plus an appearance at Hard Rock Hell Festival.

2017 has since seen THE BAD FLOWERS continue their relentless live schedule by supporting the likes of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Toseland and Dan Baird and The Original Sin.

The highly anticipated debut album, titled Starting Gun, is set for release in early 2018.
