Karlshamn, Sweden-based melodic death metal act BLINDED COLONY has changed its name to THE BLINDED. The band recorded a six-song EP last summer and is due to release its as-yet-untitled third album later in the year.  According to a press release, “the sound is familiar to BLINDED COLONY’s earlier work, but heavier, more powerful and with a stronger sense of melody.” Source: Blabbermouth.net
