With Halloween approaching , Portuguese melodic death metallers APOTHEUS are getting ready for the launch of their new album “The Far Star“, coming out October 31st via Black Lion Records. The band is currently lining up to head out on the road in support of their new creation!

The band has launched a new single for ‘The Darkest Sun’, streaming over at bandcamp, at this location! ‘The Darkest Sun’ is a tasteful blend of Melodies and darkness cloaked in the massive production!

Portuguese prog infused melodeath metal act APOTHEUS are less than a month away from unleashing their sophomore album “The Far Star“. The quartet took a completely different approach with their first ever conceptual album, blending melodies with the story and emotion. The opus unfolds the untold story of our ancestry — a painful journey of survival in the majesty of the cosmos, but also a delicate introspective about the human nature. The Isaac Asimov inspired album reveals how the collision of two worlds resulted something new: a hope, a mission and a destination.

Out November 01st via Black Lion Records, each track of this opus narrates a different chapter of this epic saga.

As the second single of the album, APOTHEUS are offering the video for the track “A New Beginning” where “the turn of events on the story takes place as the last standing passenger has no other chance but to plant the seed”, the band inform. Watch it below.

The video for the first single “Caves of Steel” got its debut via Decibel Magazine last month.

APOTHEUS Release New Music Video ‘Caves Of Steel’

Portuguese Melodic Death Metal titans APOTHEUS present new music video ‘Caves Of Steel’, taken from their new album The Far Star, coming out October 31st on CD/Digital
the video was previously premiered via Decibel Magazine. Watch the video below.

Apotheus had this to say reg the new track “’Caves of Steel’ is perhaps the most Isaac Asimov inspired song of this album, and fans will surely notice that,” they tell Decibel. “This song is essentially a preamble of the story we want to convey with the album. We are placing the spectator on these people’s shoes. We wanted to have the horrors and injustices of this world blatantly represented on the screen.

“Technically, it was certainly the most demanding video we have ever made”, the band continues. “We couldn’t do it without such a talented team on our side. There’s still a lot to unveil about this journey. And expect more news before the album release date.”
