The one and only Nuclear Blast airforce THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA released their new album “Aeromantic” on February, 28th, but this wasn’t the end of the story: Today, the Swedish hard rock super group unleashes a stunning music video for “Golden Swansdown” featuring dancer extraordinaire Ella Snellman. A remarkable fact about her performance: The dance was filmed in one take!

“‘Golden Swansdown’, the new video release from THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, is a classic power ballad based around the themes of impossible attraction and the difficulties that arise when you let your heart rule your mind. The video was filmed in the pre-apocalyptic late summer of 2019 by René U. Valdes. This might be the last shot of Earth as we knew it. Featuring Rachel Hall on violin and John Lönnmyr on keyboards. Words and music by David Andersson.”

Thomas Plec Johansson did the mastering at Panic Room Studios. Additional recording took place at Speedstrid Studios, Rymdberg Studios and Studio Valborg.

Today, Sweden’s finest Classic Rock superstars start the countdown for their new album with a series of trailers in which guitarist David Andersson talks about the cabin crew, the flight preparations and talks about important information for the arrival. While waiting for the official departure of “Aeromantic”, the new album of Swedish AOR super stars THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA on February 28th, the band has released the new single and music video for “Transmissions”. The single was produced and recorded by THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA and Thomas Plec Johansson, featuring guest star Rachel Hall on epic violin. The music video was produced by René U Valdes and features dancer extraordinaire Ella Snellman.

Some bands enter new decades with caution. Nervously they traipse around aimlessly, having whispered band meetings discussing the zeitgeist, and how it might affect the planning of their next career move.

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, however, are too old, self-absorbed and hedonistic to give a damn. They start off 2020 with releasing a new album masterpiece on February 28, and then they embark on a European headline tour, bringing an »Aeromantic Experience« to the unsuspecting masses, beginning in London on the 6th of March and ending in Berlin on the 28th of March.

The NFO air crew states, “We promise you otherworldly experiences, flaming berets, all kinds of musical and physical indulgence, trance-like states and classic rock as you never heard it or felt it before. Swedish classic rock/A.O.R. supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA have released a brand new album teaser video and single for ‘Cabin Pressure Drops’.

Earlier this year, the band announced that they had started recording the successor of 2018’s »Sometimes The World Ain’t Enough« which is due for a 2020 release. The band have been working at the Nordic Sound Labs using the same drum kit that was used during the recordings of ABBA‘s 1980 mega album »Super Trouper«!

The band comments, “So, you thought you knew what THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA was all about? You were sure that they were all about good times, boogie-woogie, radio-friendly A.O.R.? Damn, you were wrong. The one thing that has kept those ageing Swedish hearts beating for so long is DRAMA! Internal conflicts, external conflicts, rumours and exaggerations. Sometime early next year, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA will release their new album. ‘Cabin Pressure Drops’ is a street opera based upon shattered dreams, broken illusions, and the fact that we are all something much less than the person we were supposed to be. But in the darkness there’s a always a glimmer of hope. And from that glimmer of hope, with the right mindset, you can sculpt and create a whole lot of Swedish classic rock melodrama. Most bands are teasing with clips from the studio and interviews with various band members talking about how excited they are about the new material. THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA are beyond excited. Swedish classic/progressive rock supergroup THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA have released their brand new single, ‘Satellite’.

“Sometimes, no matter how many years or how many miles you have between yourself and the one you truly desire, love leaves a mark that can’t be erased. Your need is etched in your soul, in the actual muscle fibers that keeps your heart beating. And so, you become a satellite, forever stuck in orbit around the object of your affection, watching from afar, but never being able to fulfill your dreams.

Anticipating yet another sinful Swedish summer, where none of your secrets can be hidden beneath the unyielding glare of the midnight sun, we wanted to give you something special; a soundtrack both to your daydreams and your shortcomings. This summer might change your life, and if it doesn’t, we might change it for you.”

‘Satellite’ is the new single from THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA, a shot through the heart and we’re to blame. Recorded mostly in NSL studios, Skara, Sweden by the NFO and Thomas Plec Johansson, Mixed by Sebastian Bremen Forslund and mastered by Thomas Plec Johansson. Video directed by René U Valdes. “We are beyond thrilled to be able to use such a musical piece of history for the recording of our new album. Jonas is highly influenced by Per Lindvall, the drummer in ABBA, who used this very kit, during the recording of ABBA’s masterpiece “Super Trouper” in 1979. The sound coming from this kit is still fantastic and it’s gonna give that extra flair to our sound. We’ve had two recording sessions so far in Nordic Sound Lab in Skara, Sweden and will have a 3rd final session in September. Then the new album is good to go.
