‘Unleashed’ is the latest single from “Subculture”, THE ONE HUNDRED‘s new EP. The track comes ahead of their debut UK tour where they support HACKTIVIST as part of the ‘Download Freezes Over’ events. Having received rave reviews for the EP, The One Hundred have been going from strength to strength throughout 2014 and have notched up an impressive 600+ radio plays across previous tracks ‘Breed’, ‘Kingsmen’ and ‘Downfall’. Indeed Radio 1 have heavily supported the band with plays across Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Phil & Alice and of course Dan P. Carter of the Radio 1 Rock Show who invited them to record a prestigious live session at BBC’s Maida Vale.
Ahead of hitting Merthyr Rocks, Redfest, Make A Scene Festival and Breakout Festival this summer, the band played TWO triumphant Sonisphere sets and continue to turn heads with every performance played, proving themselves to be a veritable force to be reckoned with amongst the current crop of new British artists. Indeed, at the 2014 Sonisphere press conference, Stuart Galbraith, head honcho of Kilimanjaro/Sonisphere was asked who he might imagine headlining in 20 years’ time, no surprise then that The One Hundred was the first name out of his mouth.

THE ONE HUNDRED are proud to announce that their debut EP ‘Subculture’ is out today, Monday 1st September, as is the brand new video for the single ‘Downfall’. The video for ‘Downfall’ was shot in London on Friday 1st August 2014 by Burning Chariot – http://www.burningchariot.com and is available to watch here:
Having spent early 2014 finishing the record, the band embarked on a summer of live shows. Their short but illustrious live career so far is still in its infancy – indeed, under 25 shows have been played. Still, The One Hundred have impressed crowds at Sonisphere, Hevy and Merthyr Rocks as well as being hand-picked to open for bands such as Crossfaith. The band will continue their live assault on the UK throughout November and December on the road with Hacktivist as part of the Download Freezes Over tour. Full list of dates below.
Media reaction to the band has been widespread, ‘Downfall’, the bands current single initially picked up support from Dan P. Carter on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show before going on to be championed by Zane Lowe, awarding the track the coveted ‘Next Hype’; also placing the band in the ‘future Radio 1’ category. The One Hundred have also received outstanding support from specialist rock radios including The XFM Rock Show, Team Rock & Kerrang Radio.
Japanese metal and electro mash-up masters CROSSFAITH have let one of the UK’s brightest new talents THE ONE HUNDRED remix the seminal track ‘Eclipse’ from their recent album ”Apocalyze” and the result is a whole heap of crazy… in a good way! Check out the remix from The One Hundred here.
Crossfaith have also just announced an intimate warm up show before their main stage slot at this years Reading and Leeds festivals. The band will play The Fighting Cocks in Kingston on August 20th with support from none other than The One Hundred themselves.
Following the runaway success of their debut single ‘Breed’ (which amassed an impressive 75+ radio spins including BBC Radio 1, XFM, Kerrang! Radio, Team Rock radio and more) THE ONE HUNDRED return with their explosive new single ‘Kingsmen’ set for release digitally on March 31st 2014.
Speaking of the track, vocalist Jacob Field had to say…. “Kingsmen is a relentless combination of UK Grime, heavy synth and a brick of modern metal flying right at your face. You’ll know when you’ve heard this one!”
The One Hundred are also pleased to announce that they are set to open for YASHIN at The Borderline on 1st April 2014 as well as playing a headline slot at Guildfords Boileroom on April 19th.
Going from strength to strength The One Hundred recently played their 7th live show in support of Sonic Boom Six, having previously shared stages with Outpatients and Skindred. Despite being so early in their career the band have already signed to a major booking agency (www.primarytalent.com) and are set to appear across the UK festival circuit across the summer.
The band continue to write and record for their forthcoming as-yet-untitled EP set for release in 2014 – expect to see, and hear a lot more from The One Hundred in 2014.
