Finnish CROW’S FLIGHT’s New Album ”The Storm” Out

Finnish CROW’S FLIGHT released just recently their new album ”The Storm” via Ram It Down Records!

”The Storm” has 10 new songs with killer catchy choruses and classic heavy riffs. All songs are mixed and mastered by Emil Pohjalainen (Amberian Dawn, Thaurorod). CF also recorded a hard rock version of classic Genesis song – Home by the Sea. It’s a killer track also!

Music is familiar for listeners of bands like Allen-Lande, Masterplan, Whitesnake, Thunderstone, Pretty Maids, Nocturnal Rites etc.

CROW’S FLIGHT is a melodic metalband from Finland and is inspired by many different music styles because of the different musical backgrounds of the band members (Heavy, Gothic, Rock, Trash) and the musicians have decades of live and studio experience.

CROW’S FLIGHT was founded in the early spring of 2008 by band’s former lead singer Crow (CH), guitarist Marko Vehmanen (FIN) and bassist Michel van Beekum (NL). First it started as a project from three nations – Switzerland, Finland and Holland. After some major line-up changes at 2016 CF found a new singer Markku Kuikka (Status Minor, Kenziner, The Ragged Saints etc.) and a new drummer Timo Rajala (ex-Ancara). Also in 2019 a new basist Jussi ”Leba” Lehto joined the group. With the fresh blood CF have reborn as a band and started up an new era of CF music. Crow’s Flight have released their first full album “The Calm Before” at 2011.

CRIMSON SUN: New Lyric Video ‘The Storm’ Released

Hailing from Kotka, Finland, female-fronted quintet CRIMSON SUN play modern melodic metal with an ‘in your face attitude’. The band has released a new lyric video for the song “The Storm” (can be viewed below) which will appear on their soon to be released debut album ‘Towards the Light’ via Maple Metal Records on August 3^rd.

‘Towards the Light’ was recorded last Fall at Deep Noise Studios, Kouvola, Fi with Saku Moilanen, and mastered by Jacob Hansen (Epica, Volbeat, Amaranthe, Primal Fear) in Denmark. The album cover art is by renowned Serbian artist Slobicus Doomicus.

Jacob Hansen has shared his comments on ‘Towards the Light’: “I really enjoyed the songs and the band. To me, this band could easily become ‘the Next Big Thing’! The song structures and overall sound is catchy, as well as being heavy. Fine tuning this combination could mean big business!”

Crimson Sun was founded in 2001 by guitarist Joni Junnila, and the band went through various member changes before settling down with the quintet that recorded their highly praised EP ‘The Border’ in 2013. Crimson Sun will be supporting Finnish metallers Poisonblack on a mini-tour in August, with some Fall dates to be announced soon with other artists.

UK Death Thrashers ARCEYE Premiere New Video ‘The Storm’

2013 saw UK death thrashers ARCEYE make waves with the release of their second album At First Light but with things slowing down late last year the band have struck again out of the blue with a premiere of a brand new music video, ‘The Storm’, taken from At First Light.

‘The Storm’ was shot in a barley field in the bands home stamping ground on the Shropshire/Powys borders and directed by Tom Bohan and vocalist/bass player Al Llewellyn.

Al comments, “We chose a field in this location purely for the tree being the main focus of the shoot. It was filmed by Tom Bohan and Andrew McKee. ‘The Storm’ is our take on the end of the world/apocalypse theme based on the 21/12/12 (XXI XII MMXII) Mayan Calendar prediction (which never happened). It also talks about our fascination as a race in our own extinction and if it’s coming the fact we can’t do anything about it except ‘take our chance to whisper in the calm before the storm’.”

At First Light was released 7th August via Hostile Media and gained the band mass attention from the media. Hailed as “…something special, different and brilliant…” and, “the start of something very big!” by Metal Rules.

Thrash, death and a hint of prog; Arceye have pulled out all the stops delivering a record that is not only extreme but melodic, interesting and very accessible.

Kerrang Magazine said, “Arceye play fresh thrash on their own terms”, while Metal Hammer added, “The entire band seem to be firing on all cylinders!!!”
