“Horns Up MORC Cruisers! You are invited to an Exclusive MORC Event on March 31st from 10:00am -11:30am at the Artium Stage. Come to the World Premiere Listening Party of the Ronnie James Dio “This Is Your Life” Tribute Album! You will get to hear the entire album before the rest of the world featuring renditions of Ronnie’s songs from Metallica, Anthrax, Rob Halford, Corey Taylor, Halestorm, Motörhead Feat. Biff Byford, Doro, Scorpions, Members of Dio Disciples and more!!! There will be exclusive/new Ronnie James Dio Shirts and other items at the listening party available with all proceeds going to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund! There will also be members of Dio Disciples and other artists from the album at the party! We hope to see you there!”
The cruise takes place from 29 March – 2 April.

RONNIE JAMES DIO is one of the most beloved figures in rock history. His gifts, both as a singer and songwriter, are instantly recognizable, whether he was with RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH, HEAVEN & HELL, or leading DIO. Sadly, Dio lost his battle with stomach cancer in 2010 but his towering voice and legacy live on.

To celebrate one of rock’s most powerful voices, an all-star group of his friends and fans recorded 13 of their favorite tracks for a tribute album that will raise funds for the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (Diocancerfund.org). Produced by his longtime manager and wife Wendy Dio, the album includes contributions by such metal heavyweights as METALLICA, MOTÖRHEAD, SCORPIONS, ANTHRAX, and ROB HALFORD, as well as appearances by many of the musicians who performed with Dio over the years.

On March 17th an exclusive VIP listening party for the album, This Is Your Life, will be held at the Avalon, CA. There will be a very limited number of Dio fan tickets for $25 each, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund. The event will include live performances by DIO members Jimmy Bain (bass) and Rowan Roberston (guitars), Corey Taylor (STONE SOUR, SLIPKNOT), Oni Logan (DIO DISCIPLES, ex-LYNCH MOB), Brian Tichy (S.U.N., ex-WHITESNAKE) and HALESTORM.

Tickets will go on sale soon.

With regards to the tribute album, a message from the Dio camp reads: “We can’t wait for you guys to hear the Ronnie James Dio tribute album This Is Your Life! It’s BRILLIANT!! We have been working hard on this album for well over a year!! All of the bands did such an AMAZING job covering Ronnie’s songs from Rainbow to Black Sabbath to Dio! We can honestly say to you will all be BLOWN AWAY!!!! Every song on this album is fantastic and we know that Ronnie would be really proud!!! 100% of the proceeds that are received by the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund will go to cancer research, education and to hopefully one day find a cure! The album will be in stores on April 1, 2014!! You guys are going to LOVE this!!!”

This Is Your Life will be available from Rhino on April 1st. A digital version will also be available.
