THUNDERMOTHER released their new single and video called “You Can’t Handle Me” on the AFM YouTube channel – an song that could look like that, if it was a picture: dancing and gracefully stomping around like a self-confident and self-determined woman in a sweaty rock club – pretty close to that. With a groovy beat and cutting rock riffs, the music finds a way into your ears and body! It will make you wanna move and rock out.
On top of that, THUNDERMOTHER is playing the “biggest smallest concert” at Olympiastadion Berlin – this is THE live event in May, and probably also of the complete year.
STAR FM Berlin, concertVR and Swedish Rockband THUNDERMOTHER are inviting a very special group of fans on May 4th, 2021. A group of people that we all talked about a lot, but that has suffered under a lack of support: this concert is for that forgotten Covid-19 heroes – nursing staff, shop assistant and many more important sustainer of everyday life!
For all the people, that can’t physically take part concertVR offers a concert stream in Virtual Reality on May 11th in cooperation with Ticketmaster (also available as Stream without VR glasses).
THUNDERMOTHER have to postpone their German Tour to March 2021. With regards to the regional Corona restrictions this tour will legally happen with reduced capacity, distance, safety & hygiene measures.
During that free time upfront the the tour the band is recording new tracks for the upcoming Deluxe Edition of their recent album “Heat Wave” in Medley Studios in Kopenhagen. The album entered German album charts on sensational #6 last summer and stayed in the Top 100 for weeks. Die release of the “Heat Wave” Deluxe Edition is going to be released in April 2021 and will include several new tracks and exclusive versions.
Despite all current circumstances, the girls do their thing. Even if the situation for musicians, artists and the entire event industry with millions of jobs is massively endangered and after months of stagnancy is becoming more and more existence-threatening, THUNDERMOTHER want to set an example again.
Band founder and lead guitarist Filippa Nässil: “The new postponement really hurts extremely! But, we are not going to hang in there and will go on tour 2 months later than planned. Our fans can be sure that we fight for Rock’n’Roll! As soon as we can we will play live again! We won’t resign and we all in the same boat! Keep it up and believe in it: Rock’n’Roll never dies!”

Top 10 in Germany – with their album “Heat Wave” THUNDERMOTHER are writing modern Rock’n’Roll history. In 2020, a year that is so devastating for the complete live music business and for musicians in general, the 4 Swedes have the biggest success of their career. They reached position number 6 in official German album charts with an absolutely high-class and stunning Hard Rock record.
But also being able to go on tour has been of big importance for the success – THUNDERMOTHER came up with something that yet has not been done before: In cooperation with RADIOBOB! the four female rockers played their concerts on top of a reconstructed fire truck!
Their slogan: We fight for Rock’n’Roll! THUNDERMOTHER met the fans on their very own mobile stage to rock out.
THUNDERMOTHER have released their new single ‘Sleep’, out now on AFM Records.
Guernica Mancini gives this striking rock ballad a unique touch with her beautiful blues-soaked voice and you can check out the new video for ‘Sleep’ here:
The band’s upcoming new album ‘Heat Wave’, due for release on 31st July, is the musical expression of the lifestyle of the Swedish high voltage rock’n’rollers: Thundermother don’t just play rock’n’roll. Thundermother are rock’n’roll! Be ready.
Thundermother from Stockholm are the breathing and living embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll. Driven by the hard-hitting pounding of drummer Emlee Johansson, these heavy rocking girls are sticking it to anyone claiming that rock ‘n’ roll is a male domain. Front woman Guernica Mancini states: “On stage we are musicians – no matter if man or woman.“
Touring relentlessly and with three albums under their belt, Thundermother are currently gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated fourth album, ‘Heat Wave’ which will be released on 31st July on AFM Records.

Jochen Richert (CEO AFM Records): „Thundermother – Rock ‘n‘ Roll!” – this is the slogan we will carry out to the world, and it’s one that fits like a glove. Rarely the entire team has been so convinced that we have a very special band here! We’re glad to be the new label home for the Swedish riff Valkyries. Thundermother have huge potential, not only in the Rock world but even to reach way beyond that into mainstream. We will work hard in all areas to establish the association „Thundermother – Rock ‘n‘ Roll“ very quickly.”

Thundermother right now are the hottest female Rock act, so we have high goals and are looking forward to the collaboration with AFM Records.“
