Tongeren Organisers have revealed the running order and time schedules for Tongeren Metal Fest 2015, Belgium’s loudest metal festival, which takes place next week Saturday 2nd of May 2015 at de VELINX in Tongeren. ENSLAVED, SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH, BÖLZER, BODYFARM, INSANITY REIGNS SUPREME and DISINTERRED will make their appearance at the second edition of the festival, check out the schedules in the poster, below.

The very first edition of the festival took place in 2014 and featured ASPHYX, ANGEL WITCH, HERDER and many more. This festival is the follow-up to De VELINX’s annual metalfestival ‘Metaal Paaskabaal’, which featured artists like Hail Of Bullets, Ostrogoth, Gama Bomb, Paul Di’Anno and many others. The Tongeren Metal Festival artwork, created by Dries Gaerdelen, was inspired by the tale of Ambiorix and highlights the festival’s macabre mascot.

ENSLAVED, SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH, BÖLZER, BODYFARM, INSANITY REIGNS SUPREME and DISINTERRED will make their appearance at the second edition of the festival.

With headliners ENSLAVED and SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH the bar has been set high. The Norwegian progressive black/viking metal quintet ENSLAVED will present their new album exclusively in Belgium at Tongeren Metal Fest. Martin Schirenc – along with his two partners in crime – will perform all original and classic PUNGENT STENCH songs under the flag of ‘SCHIRENC PLAYS PUNGENT STENCH’. Viva La Muerte!

The emerging Swiss death/black metal duo BÖLZER left a deep impression with their two EP’s ‘Aura’ and ‘Soma’. Before they shake de VELINX to its foundations in May, you can catch the band live during their tour with metal titans BEHEMOTH and at the EINDHOVEN METAL MEETING in December.

As always, special attention is given to new and upcoming talent. After discovering the Dutch death metallers BODYFARM, the festival had to look no further. Local heroes INSANITY REIGNS SUPREME and DISINTERRED will kickstart the evening.

The founders of the Belgian metal festival Tongeren Metal Fest are pleased to announce that the festival will take place again on Saturday 2nd of May 2015 at the famous venue de VELINX in Tongeren; Belgium’s oldest city! The successful first edition took place earlier this year and featured bands like Asphyx, Angel Witch and many others.

Promotor Willem Van Maele commented: “It’s a great honour to be invited again to organize the festival at the beautiful and professional venue de VELINX. It is obvious that our goal remains the same: presenting the best bands under excellent conditions at the lowest ticket price possible.”

The first bands will be announced soon. Band applications are welcome via e-mail.
