March/April UK tour wrap
The UK tour was like floating in a sea of sequins, bodily fluids and liquid ecstasy! Fantastic having Ward XVI along as support!
“the beauty of a Tragedy show…. pure escapism, blisteringly good music…there’s no one out there doing this as well as they do” – My Global Mind
“what makes Tragedy so special, the musical skill and metal interpretations are fantastic, but every single song is a classic that the audience know every word to. The end result is the band don’t play a single song themselves, each and every one is sung along to by the totally engrossed crowd.” – Livewire
“Watching the audience made my night. From the lady in black to my right who was absolutely losing her shit, to the one in front of me who was celebrating her birthday, to the guys behind me banging their heads to the heavier riffs… every single one had the biggest smiles on their faces throughout. Tragedy are the epitome of ‘party band’. Great music, great songs, great fun. Hands down one of those bands you just have to catch live.”” – Moshville Times
“the crowd and myself don’t care we are singing along, have the simply the best time to this twisted rock band.” – Metal Planet Music

Flipping the script on sleaze rock tropes, with I Am Woman, we find the inner-metal in disco and soft-rock classics made famous by women. Tragedy’s concept has always been to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, inverting the yin and the yang. Here we celebrate womanhood in all forms on 14 newly-recorded, reinvented anthems of palpable power and fearless fun!
Featuring songs originally made famous by Chic, Gloria Gaynor, Cyndi Lauper, Betty Buckley/Barbara Streisand, Abba, Shocking Blue/Bananarama, Shirley Bassey, Aretha Franklin, Irene Cara, the Pointer Sisters, Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Helen Reddy and Katy Perry.
