VA ROCKS have released their new single ‘Hard Times’. The song is available from all major streaming providers and can be listened to here Hard Times (youtube.com).
While the title might give the impression of it being a downer, something bluesy and sad, the song itself is the opposite. “Hard Times” is a melodic upbeat tune with both Ida Vollmer (lead singer/rhythm guitarist) and Cim Dahlle (lead guitarist) on lead vocals. With a catchy refrain and the sing-along friendly backing vocals, it will get you in that free falling road trip spirit. Definitely something for your summer rock n’ roll playlist!
VA ROCKS have released a new single and lyric-video for “Not Dead Yet”.
VA ROCKS is straight, uncompromising rock n’ roll, covered in the best punk rock elements. Rough guitar riffs, hard drums, steady bass and a voice that will knock you out!
The band started back in 2006 as a garage rock band in a small town in Sweden. Heavily influenced by bands like AC/DC, Ramones and The Runaways they started to create their own rock sound, which now has taken a steady place in the Swedish rock scene.
Since then VA ROCKS has done among hundreds of live shows and toured with acts like bands like Kärbholtz, D-A-D, Thundermother and The Headlines. Played festivals like Sweden Rock Festival and done shows in several countries in Europe, Scandinavia and in Wales.
The first studio album, ”I Love VA Rocks” was released 2019 on Metalville and the band is now working on their next album, to be released in September 2024.
“Not Dead Yet” is the first single from the upcoming new album. It’s the first song recorded as a four piece band, and it follows the classic VA ROCKS sound. The track is a no compromise cocky track about picking up the pieces and finding yourself again after a big change or challenge in life.
Written by guitarist Cim Dahlle and recorded with Timmy Tift (Vånna Inget, Sista Sekunden) in Tift Studios September 2023.
“Not Dead Yet” comes with a lyric-video, created with live clips from shows played in 2023.
