Rising Irish hard rockers Vendetta Love have today released their brand-new single “Wine”, across all major streaming platforms.

A sultry, swaggering slab of sleaze-drenched riff-rock, “Wine” arrives just in time for summer and serves as the latest instalment of the band’s string of blistering releases – and a taste of what’s still to come.

“Wine” was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Michael Richards at Dublin’s renowned Trackmix Studios, capturing the band’s signature blend of 90s grunge grit, Sunset Strip attitude, and arena-sized hooks. The track came together during the same productive weekend that birthed fan-favourite “Traced Out”, beginning with a hypnotic riff by guitarist Neil McEvoy, which quickly became the bedrock for the track’s brooding, blues-soaked atmosphere.

Frontman Shawn Mullen admits the song’s lyrical inspiration took a little longer to ferment: “I was totally stumped on what to say for ages… just stressing out over the simplest of melodies and lines. Then one evening I played the rough demo to my fiancée and she just goes, ‘Wine… the riff sounds like wine. Do that.’ Two hours later the lyrics were done! So yeah, the song’s about wine… and nothing more… I swear.”

With lyrics by Mullen and music written collaboratively by bassist McEvoy, Mullen, guitarist Chris Craig, and drummer Darren Flynn, “Wine” is a potent reminder of Vendetta Love’s knack for writing raw, honest, and addictively gritty rock songs.

To celebrate the single’s release, the band will be performing a headline show at Dublin’s legendary Whelan’s on Friday, July 5th. Earlier that day, Vendetta Love will also be playing a special in-store set at HMV on Henry Street, giving fans an up-close taste of “Wine” and more.

Speaking of the new single, vocalist/guitarist, Shawn Mullen said; “It’s a song that deals, directly, with the loss of my little brother. I was waiting for the right moment, the right sound or melody, to speak about him. And not in a rose-tinted glasses way either. I wanted whatever the fuck I was going to say to be real and true to my experience with him. And so you have Traced Out. I think he’d like it. I’ve never written so directly before. It’s done now. Let it lie.”

Irish Hard Rockers, Vendetta Love continue their rise with another stand-alone single that packs a serious punch! Never a band to rest on their laurels, Dublin/Portlaoise, four-piece, Vendetta Love continue raise the with their latest single, ‘Glue’ which gives off Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Frank Carter vibes, and is the debut single featuring bassist Neil McEvoy on vocals.

Commenting on the track, the band says; “This song came from a little chord progression and riff I had written a few years ago that I had always wanted to do more with, eventually expanding into the mix of sections that form the cohesive mess that it is. Lyrically it touches on a couple different themes like mental health/addiction and also some dreams/nightmares I’ve had that stuck in my mind. 
Both Chris and Shawn have added so much to the character of the song, weaving melodies and attitude in such wonderful ways. Darren plays a blinder on the drums and really pulls the whole song together. We recorded it in Trackmix Studio in Dublin, which is always a pleasure. Working with Michael there is always so comfortable and efficient.  
Singing lead vocals is a first for me and was honestly nerve-wracking but I couldn’t be happier with how the song turned out, and for anyone missing Shawn’s lovely voice he does make an appearance on vocals so all is not lost. Anyway, Glue, get it in your ears.”

Irish rockers VENDETTA LOVE have released their video for the latest single ‘Soothe’.

The band’s latest powerhouse single ‘Soothe’ sees the four-piece deliver a knock-out, hard rock anthem that gets down to the gritty business of doing what Vendetta Love do best. 

With a non-stop cycle of writing, gigging and recording, Vendetta Love are fast becoming one of Ireland’s most talked about live bands due to the unpredictability and intensity of their stunning live shows. 
 
Armed with just their captivating onstage presence, and a discography of songs that float between the late ‘80s L.A. scene (Skid Row/Guns N’ Roses), and the Seattle explosion (Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana) in the early ‘90s, but with a contemporary twist, Vendetta Love are the real deal, and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

I enjoyed getting the lyrics together for this more than any other song we’ve ever done and that’s not hyperbole. It was like having a conversation with the little fuckin brat that still lives inside of me somewhere.”

Speaking of the new track, vocalist/guitarist Shawn Mullen says; ’’Lyrically, for me anyway, On and On is about the dance between being aware of the rat race we’re all in in one way or another and the lies we tell ourselves to justify it.. The song itself came together pretty quickly. It’s a simple song, really, a little brighter than most of our stuff but it’s got a certain groove that makes it a lot of fun to play live. It’s been second in our set for a little while now and has been going down really well with the audience as far as we can tell so we’re excited to get it out there.’’
