Earlier this spring the original VENOM members Jeff “Mantas” Dunn (guitar) and Anthony “Abaddon” Bray (drums) rejoined forces with ex-VENOM bassist/vocalist Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan in VENOM Inc., who made their live debut in April 2015 at the Keep It True festival in Lauda-Königshofen, (Germany), playing a full set of VENOM classics. Tony Dolan and Jeff Dunn have spent the last few years collaborating in M:PIRE OF EVIL, who released their latest full-length album “Crucified” in May 2013. Tonight VENOM Inc. are kicking off their European tour with VADER, DIVINE CHAOS and WITCHES, check out below the dates and venues (see the poster).

Just a couple days ago, Tarja Virmakari had a chance to interview Tony “The Demolition Man” Dolan, face to face on Skype. During this long, pleasant and relaxed chat, Tarja and Tony discussed of course about the new tour, but Tony spoke also in detail about the reunion of VENOM Inc. revealing some “appetizing” information about the upcoming album and tours… among other topics were of course M:PIRE OF EVIL (their latest festivals and upcoming album), as well as Tony’s career as an actor, his childhood years, the passion inside him and Life and Omnipotent Music in its rich colour tones. Impellitteri – Venom. Guitarist Chris Impellitteri and vocalist Rob Rock are an enduring and vastly underrated classic Metal songwriting partnership that’s lasted for 30 years, and the word on the street was that with“Venom”, they sought to outdo themselves, by attempting to make sure that both the songs and the performances were crafted to the highest possible standards, with the goal of producing an album that would bring to mind different eras in Metal  history. Aided by bassist James Pulli and former Slayer / Testament blastbeater  John Dette, Chris and Rob have certainly achieved their lofty aim, and the foursome don’t so much play these songs ram them home, the strength of the material making maximum impact as a result. Varied and memorable, from opening title track “Venom” to grand finale “Reach For The Sky”, each song boasts melodic riffs and vocals, hooklines to spare, and Chris’s shredding solos, which mark him out as that rare breed of guitarist who’s able to play lead breaks at vicious velocity, in which the listener can still follow the melodic changes and structure. More than once, I’ve found myself hitting “Play” again as soon as the album ends, having enjoyed it so much. “Venom” is classic Heavy Metal at its best, and both Chris Impelliterri and Rob Rock still sound like they’re pushing themselves forward as musicians and writers. Recommended!

Chris Impellitteri is heralded as one of the world’s greatest guitar shredders. He has won Best Rock Guitarist Awards from several magazines during the years for his guitar soloing. He is the first guitarist to be branded as the fastest guitarist in the world by the international media. Recently and without any prompting or campaigning, Impellitteri was voted 2nd fastest guitarist in the world by “Guitar One” magazine; and “Guitar World” magazine recently listed Chris Impellitteri within their top 50 fastest guitarists of all time!

Chris Impellitteri formed IMPELLITTERI in 1987, together with Rob Rock. That year, they released an EP called the “Black Album” which was well-received, and IMPELLITTERI went on to release the full-length album “Stand In Line” in 1988. As of today IMPELLITTERI have released a total of 9 acclaimed studio albums. The new record “Venom” follows 2009’s “Wicked Maiden”.

During the writing and recording of the new album “Venom” the band pushed the limitations of their musical abilities in both performance and composition. All musical areas and ideas were explored with only the best recorded.

VENOM To Perform Entire New Album On Board 70000 TONS OF METAL

Legendary Metal band VENOM have confirmed that they will join 70000 TONS OF METAL on it’s voyage from Florida to Jamaica in January
2015.

VENOM will play two sets on board, one will focus on greatest hits and one will be an Exclusive Live World Premier of their forthcoming new album which will be released later in 2015.

Originally formed in 1978 and hailing from the English town Newcastle Upon Tyne, this will be VENOM‘s 14th studio album.

VENOM will join the 60 band roster of 70000TONS OF METAL 2015, including Alestorm, Amorphis, Annihilator, Apocalyptica, Arch Enemy, Artillery, Behemoth, Blind Guardian, Cannibal Corpse, Crucified Barbara, D.A.D., Einherjer, Ensiferum, Equilibrium, God Dethroned, Grave Digger, Heathen, In Extremo, Kataklysm, Korpiklaani, Lake Of Tears, Michael Schenker’s Temple Of Rock, Municipal Waste, Napalm Death, Origin, Primal Fear, Tank, Therion, Threshold, Triosphere and Xentrix.
