After the massive impact of ‘Duality‘ — a single that marked a defining moment in the band’s recent chapter — German metalcore force VENUES now unveil their next strike: ‘Hollow Walls.’
This isn’t just another release. ‘Hollow Walls’ picks up where ‘Duality’ left off. Visually and emotionally. The new music video acts as a direct sequel, continuing the narrative thread and expanding the atmosphere into darker territory. What began as tension now escalates into confrontation. The cracks in the surface are no longer subtle – they’re breaking wide open.
Sonically, VENUES lean further into contrast: fragile moments collide with explosive weight, cinematic tension meets razor-sharp heaviness. ‘Hollow Walls’ feels urgent, restless, and uncomfortably honest – like standing in a room that’s slowly collapsing while you’re still inside it.
If ‘Duality’ was the warning shot, ‘Hollow Walls’ is the fallout. This isn’t a reset. It’s the next chapter.

The wait is over: German modern metal force Venues have unleashed ‘Duality’, the very first taste of their upcoming album cycle and the beginning of an audacious new era. Set against the backdrop of a dystopian world where the last living tree becomes a symbol of survival, ‘Duality’ introduces the narrative, sound, and aesthetic vision that will define the band’s most ambitious chapter yet.
Fusing pulsating synths, cinematic soundscapes, and crushing riffs, ‘Duality’ is the blueprint of Venues 2026 – futuristic, emotional, and unapologetically unique. Vocalist Lela Gruber delivers a breathtaking performance, shifting seamlessly between vulnerability and ferocity, while Robin Baumann’s visceral shouts slice through the chaos with surgical precision. Together, they embody the dual nature of the record: hope and despair, beauty and destruction, fragility and power.
“This time, we wanted to connect everything – sound, story, look, emotion,” says Lela. “’Duality’ is the first step into that world.”
‘Duality’ marks the start of a carefully crafted rollout where each new single unveils another chapter of the story – a cinematic universe told through music videos, visuals, and sound that blend seamlessly into one immersive experience. With their upcoming album due in summer 2026, Venues are not only reinventing themselves but pushing the boundaries of what heavy music can be.
Venues are not just a band. They are a movement. And ‘Duality’ is where it all begins
VENUES are back, and this time, they’re taking us on a dark and twisted journey with their new single, ‘Praying Mantis’. Dropping as a special release in collaboration with Traumatica – one of the world’s largest and most intense horror festivals – this track is set to become the anthem of haunted nights and hidden terrors.
Inspired by the ominous allure of a deadly game of hide and seek, ‘Praying Mantis’ captures the intensity of desire turned dangerous. With lyrics that blur the line between passion and predation, VENUES lures listeners into a world where love takes a sinister twist, keeping you on edge from the very first beat. The pounding rhythms and hauntingly seductive vocals create a soundscape of suspense, as if whispering, “You’re not safe here.”

Post-hardcore quartet VENUES are now unveiling their brand new single ‘Godspeed, Goodbye’, showcasing their ever evolving sound and musical depth. The new track is taken from the band’s upcoming album Transience, which will be out on 29th March via Arising Empire.
Their new single ‘Unspoken Words’ has hit the airwaves, sending ripples through the hearts of fans and critics alike. This track delves deep into the realm of unvoiced sentiments, weaving a tapestry of raw emotion and intricate melodies that VENUES is renowned for.
“Sometimes, the best choice in leaving a toxic situation is to walk away without needing closure. Strength comes from recognizing the need for a healthier distance, even if you don’t say everything that’s on your mind. Unspoken words can be the loudest expression of self-preservation. And even if you didn’t get every answer you thought you needed.” – Lela, vocals
German post-hardcore experience Venues have just released their brand new single ‘Radiate Me’, following their critically acclaimed album Solace(2021) and previous singles ‘Reflections‘, ‘Cravings‘, ‘Haunted House‘ & ‘Oblivion‘.
‘Radiate Me’ is an introspective track exploring the journey of overcoming personal challenges and striving for self-improvement. The song’s powerful lyrics depict a battle with inner demons, using vivid imagery like a ‘pest plant’ to symbolize life’s negative influences. ‘Radiate Me’ stands as an anthem for those struggling with their inner selves, emphasizing the beauty of a life beyond personal turmoil.
Vocalist Robin comments on the track: “The last year was quite tough for me, as my mother was diagnosed with two types of cancer. She immediately took up the fight and underwent chemotherapy, which was extremely hard on her. I drove her to various hospitals time and again, took care of the household, and cared for her as a person. But primarily, I saw her suffer and what the poison of this treatment did to her. The chemotherapy almost killed her. ‘Radiate Me’ is all of that in one song. As it stands now, she is doing well and we all hope that it stays that way. Fuck cancer!“
For their most recent album Venues went into the studio with producer Christoph Wieczorek (Annisokay) to record Solace, who coated their massive sound with a metallic alloy of remarkable precision.
“We wanted to be more metal,” Robin comments.“There were some pop sensibilities of Aspire we wanted to replace with rather the opposite.”
Melody and punch-drunk heaviness, metal and alternative rock, zeitgeist and authenticity, barbed choruses and unleashed creativity: with their soaring sophomore release, Venues fulfill every single promise they gave on Aspire.
“2020 showed all of us how much the band is helping us keep our sanity,” vocalist Robin muses. “Almost the whole band went through minor or medium crises since the release of our debut. Relationships went sour, things were ended and begun. In times like these, our second album was the light at the end of the tunnel. Something we all could look forward to. Our music held our heads above water.”
It’s a big leap, going from Aspire to Solace, and it’s a logical one, too. Ten songs, ten exorcisms of negative energy, ten lifesavers.
