Death metal outfit VOMIT FORTH has delivered their punishing new album, TERRIFIED OF GOD. Following up on the success of their 2022 release Seething Malevolence , the band’s latest full-length pushes the boundaries of extreme metal, offering twelve tracks of unrelenting intensity and atmospheric dread.
A willingness to explore and incorporate influences from across a wide sonic landscape has always set VOMIT FORTH apart from their metal peers, and TERRIFIED OF GOD is here to solidify the band as a mainstay act in the metal community. The band’s live show is just as punishing as the record, and with an upcoming tour supporting The Black Dahlia Murder and Dying Fetus, more audiences will witness Vomit Forth’s violent attack.
Death metal act Vomit Forth unveil the hair-raising track, “Negative Penance” with a horrifying video. It’s the third single shared from their upcoming album, Terrified Of God, set for release October 11th through Century Media Records. In the deep winter of early 2024, the band headed into a cabin in the woods of New Jersey with Randy Leboeuf who recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the album. The month-long recording process led to twelve panic-stricken tracks where every riff, drum fill, and lyric leaves a footprint.
“Negative Penance” serves as one of the most brutal moments on Terrified Of God marked by frenzied guitars and intense drum work. Vocalist Kane Gelaznik displays his ability to easily shift between throaty vocals, curdling squeals, and a more direct delivery. The video for the song comes with a viewer discretion warning, as tape footage of a bizarre ritualistic murder materializes.
Northeast based agents of terror Vomit Forth are driven to create the most visceral death metal the world has ever experienced. The band has just announced their new album, Terrified Of God, set for release October 11th. To celebrate, the band have dropped a new single, Rotting Wool.
In the deep winter of early 2024, the band headed into a cabin in the woods with Randy Lebouf (The Acacia Strain, Jesus Piece), who recorded, mixed, mastered and produced the album. Vomit Forth had an unabashed goal to make “the most unsettling, brutal and scary death metal record of all time” and across the album’s twelve tracks, they surpass it.
On the album’s themes, vocalist Kane shares: “The biggest thing I want to get across with this record and that humanity doesn’t know everything. We are flawed, and in a lot of ways disgusting. We act like we aren’t afraid of what happens after we die. I know most people like to think nothing happens and we just conduct heat. That there’s no consequence other than how we effect other people during our time here, but I know there’s a hint of fear in the back of everyone’s mind. Everyone feels it. Not a single person on this earth lives without being ‘Terrified of God’ at one point or another in their life.”
Connecticut-based Northeast death metal powerhouse VOMIT FORTH have released their new song and video for “Carnivorous Incantation”. Watch the music video HERE.
Band comments:
“Carnivorous Incantation is somewhat of a self-reflective song,” states VOMIT FORTH vocalist Kane Gelaznik about the track. “ It’s about the effects of abuse on our psyche. Abuse begets abuse like some horrible spell cast on us all. The song is a way of trying to externalize, understand, and move past trauma. This video is intentionally unnerving and spastic. We wanted the video to stick with you because of the subject matter of the song. That’s a big reason we decided to go with 8498. I hope this helps victims of abuse of any kind to move past their trauma.”
“Carnivorous Incantation” is the second track, following “Predatory Savious”, released off VOMIT FORTH’s forthcoming full-length album, “Seething Malevolence”, which is set for release on July 8th. While the band is known for a sound that borrows from the underappreciated East Coast death metal blueprint belched up from bands like Internal Bleeding and Scattered Remnants, Seething Malevolence expands to more experimental and unexpected sounds, refracting the band’s love for the likes of Napalm Death or Full of Hell. Seething Malevolence delivers on the promise of everything VOMIT FORTH has hinted at so far Northeast death metal.

Already known for their furious live show, sharpened by recent North American touring with labelmates, Frozen Soul and Sanguisugabogg, as well as experimental hardcore legends, Integrity, VOMIT FORTH’s name has cemented itself into the U.S. extreme metal landscape. The self-produced Seething Malevolence, which was mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Ghostmane and features U.S. noisemonger, Prurient on the opening track “Untitled” is a clear next step. The band’s prior demos, collected on 2019’s Maggot Stomp issued Northeastern Deprivation won the band raves in the underground and the attention of Century Media.
“We’re excited and grateful to be working with Century Media,” says frontman Kane Gelaznik who started the band in 2017 with drummer Nick Herrmann, bassist Tyler Bidwell and guitarist Ricky Brayall. “Going back to buying CDs from Asphyx, Merauder or Napalm Death, we’ve been fans of the label and really see them as a forward-thinking force in death metal. That’s the same attitude and vision we have towards our band and music – it’s no rules but our rules.”
“Hearing the unmixed record the band had produced themselves before they had signed with CM blew me away,” says Century Media Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter. “While the band’s influences in death metal and hardcore are present, that’s just where it starts. VOMIT FORTH is onto something deeper and more extreme.”
