Walls of Babylon are ready to unveil their new music video “Epilogue”, to be released on December 15. The video represents the final narrative piece of the highly anticipated album Aeons Apart, officially available from January 9, 2026 through Wanikiya Record/Promotion.

EPILOGUE – The meaning behind the final track

“Epilogue” is not merely the closing track of the album, but the key to understanding the entire narrative journey.
In this song, we discover that all the stories told throughout the previous tracks are nothing more than the creations of a lonely writer: an author who, in order to escape a life drained of meaning, found refuge in the worlds he imagined.

In his final act, the writer addresses the characters he created as if they were real.
He apologizes to them for dragging them into complex choices, pain, and dangerous adventures… and at the same time, he thanks them.
He thanks them on his deathbed for having been by his side at every moment of his inner journey, sharing with him loves, tragedies, fears, values, and those muffled screams against a world that never understood nor accepted him.

“Epilogue” is his final breath: a farewell, a thank you, an artistic testament.

Aeons Apart – A concept album of memory, loss, and rebirth

The new Walls of Babylon album is not simply a collection of songs;

“Fallen” is a concept album about society collapsing due to a hidden gland within the human brain, “The Switch of God”. It generates a hormone shutting down rationality, releasing humans’ most brutal and feral impulses.

This overwhelming plague is called “The Fall”: the progressive annihilation of individualism, with humanity slowly turning into a productive chain, along with the exponential increase of carbon dioxide.
Extinction is the last hope, with all mankind quickly turning into a self devouring cancer.

Band stated:
Walls of Babilon is a project born at the end of 2013 and its purpose is to find a place in the metal scene with a sound mixed by etereogenic influences of its members: trash, black, punk rock, scandinavian death following the same guideline of the power and progressive metal.
In 2015 was released “ the Dark Embrace”, the first work of the band, which provide dark sounds and catchy chorus to impress the features of the group from the beginning.
2018 was the year of the First international album “A Portrait of Memories” coming out thanks to Revalve Records. It’s a work that highlight a darker sound than the previous one but with an higher complexity of songwriting showing the path of growth of the band.
The core of this project is contemporary to say the least: in 2020 was born “Fallen” which streches in a wide variety of genres between classic and progressive rock.

WALLS OF BABYLON on “Amigdala”:

Amigdala is a central song in the storyline of “fallen” and that is why we chose it as the first video clip.

In fact,after an incipit that introduces the situation of world delirium,made up of hatred , murders and senseless heinousness,with Amigdala the arcane is revealed,with a doctor who flees from his assailants holding in his arms the corpse of his son murdered shortly before.He then locks himself up in a makeshift laboratory he has made himself,ready to perform an autopsy to try to understand the connection between the homicidal madness and those dark irises,present in all “infected” subjects. the adjective proper of an external viral factor is wrong,however,as the protagonist discovers that it is all due to a hormone produced by a part of the ‘amygdala,a “divine switch” that is activated,like a self-destructing species,the moment the human being is no longer able to ensure his coexistence with the planet that hosts him.

For direction and production we have chosen Alvaro Raul Diamanti (director) and Giorgia Nofrini (photoshooting) of Diaframe video production, talented guys who have perfectly rendered the atmosphere we had in mind while writing the concept.

We hope it will reach the audience in an equally direct way ,especially for a song taken from a “particular” album precisely because of its narrative and evocative nature.
