Like a sniper bullet head shot, WAR MASTER has been out of sight for the past two years, but now returns with deadly force. The Houston death machine will roll into Europe to conquer the ears of German, Dutch and Czech Republic fans including a stop at Obscene Extreme Festival. Japanese grinders, Palm will support the band.
New recruits Dobber Beverly (drums) and Anthony Contreras (guitars), both known from Demoniacal Genuflection and Oceans of Slumber, will join War Master mainstays Neal Dossey (guitar) and R.G. War Minister (vocals) on the road. Mat Aleman rounds out the group on bass.
When the band hits Obscene Extreme festival, two of its members, Dobber Beverly and Rahi “R.G. Warminister” Geramifar, will be playing with reunited grinders, Insect Warfare. The group plays on Friday July 15th. War Master plays the next day and the After Party show.
Neal Dossey comments on the tour:
War Master hasn’t toured Europe. Oceans of Slumber has been there a few times and Dobber has been there a few times. Insect Warfare did a U.K. tour, but not with Rahi. Dobber has done these countries before. He knows the ins and outs. It will be cool. There are a few cities I’ve never even heard of. I’m not very well-verse in European geography. It will be really cool to have all these unexpected little stops. We’re really excited about playing Extreme Obscene Festival. It’s something we’ve always seen through the years as being an awesome fest. Sodom is one of the headliners, besides Insect Warfare. That will be really cool. Every time I’ve meant to see them, they’ve cancelled or had Visa problems or whatever. Death Side is awesome. Incantation is playing, Extreme Noise Terror. Gride, I toured around the States when them and PLF on a tour a long time ago. Brujeria. We’ll be there for the whole fest. It’s not like we have a tight schedule. We have a day off the first day of the fest. Then, Insect plays and then we play. We play again on Sunday, the After Party show. We play with Shackle and Palm, who we’re doing the tour with. Palm has Toshi, who runs the venue we played at in Osaka [Japan]. We’re going to be in two, separate bands, but we’ll be touring together.
The band will make their “MMXVI” demo available while on tour. The group has debuted two songs from the recording. “All Light Devoured” is available for streaming below and on their “MMXVI Japan Tour” CD. Metalunderground.com premiered “Penetrating The Unknown.”
