We’ve got a lot of bands heading out on tour soon, and some of us here are old enough to remember camping out for concert tickets, instead of just hovering over Ticketmaster.com on our laptops or phones. So we’re curious about how you decide to buy tickets to see bands – do you seek out pre-sales? Do you buy on the first day? Do you think about it for a while? Or are you someone who walks up to the box office the day (or even the night) of the show, on the spur of the moment?

A lot of Roadrunner bands have new albums out or coming soon: Theory of a Deadman and Trivium‘s latest are already out, and Dream Theater, Opeth, and Machine Head will all be releasing hotly anticipated new albums in September. Many of these bands will also be hitting the road in support of their new music, too (check our tour page for dates). Which leads us to this week’s poll question: When you see a band supporting a new album, how many new songs do you want to hear? Just one or two, or do you like it when a band plays their entire new album? This week, we announced two major tours featuring multiple Roadrunner artists: Dream Theater will be heading out with Trivium, and Theory of a Deadman will be headlining the Carnival of Madness tour with Black Stone Cherry as one of the support acts. And there have been plenty of other times one Roadrunner act has brought another out on the road, of course. But it made us wonder if there was a combination of Roadrunner bands that you’ve always wanted to see share a bill. Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor‘s book, Seven Deadly Sins: Settling the Argument Between Born Bad and Damaged Good, has hit the New York Times bestseller list!
