TEMPERANCE is a new star in the Heavy Metal universe, born from the dedication and efforts of a group of musicians with more than a decade of experience in the scene, hundreds of concerts played with the likes of Rhapsody Of Fire, Dragonforce, Parkway Drive, Leave’s Eyes and Rage to name a few, and a renovated desire to make an impact. The band’s self titled debut album consists of an amazing mixture of tight, heavy guitar riffs, electronics and folk elements, bounded together in the name of melody and power. ‘Temperance’ was mixed and mastered by renowned musician/ producer Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studio in San Marino, Italy.

Dutch Symphonic Rockers WITHIN TEMPTATION, formed in 1996, have recently released their 6th studio album “Hydra”, including 11 tracks and featuring several guests: metalcore singer Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), rapper Xzibit, classical-crossover/symphonic metal vocalist Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) and alternative rock singer Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum). The first single, “Paradise (What About Us?)”, was released on September 27, 2013, and featured Tarja Turunen as guest vocalist. The second single, “Dangerous”, was released on December 20, in which Howard Jones provided the male vocals.

Just recently Tarja Virmakari had a chance to interview WITHIN TEMPTATION‘s fine Metal Lady vocalist, Sharon Den Adel (for Truemetal.it). The main topic was of course the latest effort “Hydra” and its guest appearances, but Sharon also spoke about the difficulties to break through, in the Netherlands for the first few years of their existence. Sharon also revealed the ultimate dream that WITHIN TEMPTATION still have for the future. To find out this and many more, join the conversation below.

Dutch symphonic rockers WITHIN TEMPTATION proudly announce the upcoming 12 dates on the North American leg of their Hydra World Tour, which launched in Finland in February. Opening all shows will be Swedish/Danish power/ melodic death metallers Amaranthe.

Lead vocalist Sharon den Adel shares the following about the upcoming trek: “It’s a great feeling that after so many years we are back with a coast-to-coast tour. The reception of our latest album Hydra has been overwhelming and we cannot wait to unleash the dragon overseas. Be sure that this time we’ll bring our biggest and best North American live show so far.”

Tickets for WITHIN TEMPTATION tour dates will go on sale April 4th with an added bonus, according to den Adel:

“To reward our most loyal fans, we’re designing a specially made art poster for those who buy their ticket before April 30th, 2014. It is strictly limited, will be signed by the band, and will not be offered for sale. So make sure you get your tickets before April 30th!”

Fans can pick up their lithograph at the merchandise table by showing the date of purchase on their concert ticket.

This February, Hydra debuted at #16 on the American Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, marking the band’s first appearance in the Billboard Top 20. In Europe, Hydra debuted at #1 in The Netherlands & The Czech Republic and secured the #2 position in Switzerland & Finland, #4 in Germany, #6 in the U.K., and #9 in France.
