TUATHA DE DANANN’s “Brazilian elves” launch new music on social network! Two singles that will preced the new EP. The first single is “The Tribes of Witching Souls”, and it won a lyric video and anticipates the EP with the same name, which will be released in early 2019. The video is available on the band’s official Facebook Page and Youtube.
One of the most brilliant Brazilian bands, TUATHA DE DANANN was formed in the state of Minas Gerais, in the year of 1994. They have a very personal signature, mixing Metal with Celtic influences and folk music. They have four full-lenghts, three EPs and one acoustic live DVD on their discography. In 2005 the band played on Wacken Festival, acclaimed as best foreign band of the contest Metal Battle.
Talking about the new single, “The Tribes of Witching Souls”, according with the lead singer Bruno Maia, it rescues the mythical side of Tuatha from Danann by addressing Danu’s own people and sings some characters who featured in the band’s old songs. The lyrics make references and allusions to the giant Brazuzan, the dwarf Finganforn and other “magical journeys” to the fairy world.

“We are reminded of some characters and motes worked by the band in the past and we invite the listener to give this magical world a chance, if you turn off a little and ‘burn’ your inner demons”, says Bruno Maia.
About the composition, the musician points out that “The Tribes of Witching Souls” has the musical personality of the Tuatha. “She rescues a bit from the more mystical, mythical, ‘hippie’ and festive side of the band. Something we did a lot until the album “Trova di Danú”. And our fans can feel it in the music! We highlight the folk music instruments, the festive atmosphere, the heavy guitars, the crazy climates of the keyboards and the screaming of the dwarves, typical of the Tuatha.”
“The Tribes of Witching Souls” was recorded at Braia Studio in Varginha. Bruno Maia, in addition to vocals, recorded the guitars, bouzouki, banjo, guitar and flutes. Giovani Gomes was in charge of the double bass and vocals and Edgard Brito recorded the keyboards. The drums and violins were recorded by the guests Fabrício Altino and Nathan Viana.
The second single, “Your Wall Shall Fall”, have the co-writing and vocals of Martin Walkyer (Skyclad former singer), one of the greatest inspirations for Bruno and Tuatha de Dannan. The vídeo of the song had the participation of fans, friends and admirators of the band. The complete EP is scheduled for the first half of 2019 with the release of Brazilian label Heavy Metal Rock. In addition to the singles, the CD will feature two new songs, two re-recordings and special guest appearances.
