Martin was recently working on his upcoming book, titled “Who Invented Heavy Metal” and trying to find an answer for the question, in a brave way!
Martin Popoff has just updated Metal Shock Finland‘s Chief Editor Mohsen Fayyazi about the process of writing and publishing the “Who Invented Heavy Metal” book.
“It’s a fairly long book, hundred and twenty thousand words. It’s set up as a timeline with quotes format.” Martin Popoff described the book – “Lots of quotes from people on the whole subject of the earliest of heavy metal. Sounds, songs, feedback, distortion, extreme vocals, shock rock stage show and moving into the first full albums of heavy metal and what concept is that. ” He continued on what stage he is up to at the moment “Tomorrow I hand off the text file and the images disk to my layout guy, so I finished it about 4 days ago, so it should be out in maybe a little over a month, maybe six weeks or so. It’s pretty exciting to find an answer for that question.“
