Metal Shock Finland (World Assault )

For those who don’t know DATAKILL yet, this single will be a delightful surprise to listen to with closed eyes and open heart.

As long-time members of  Italian HC scene, DATAKILL always manage to surprise the listener with unusual experimentations, thus creating  an unexpected mix of NYHC, metal, funky with  a hint of classical Italian melodic music.

“22” (whose video is warmly recommended! can be viewed below) starts with a groovy funky vibe, suddenly exploding into a scream full of existential rage (22 in the Neapolitan numerology is “ the madman”) finally getting to a reprise full of the awareness that once you get to the bottom, you’ll have the chance to jump back to the top of the mountain!

The B-side of this single is “Effetto insolito” (“Unusual feeling”), a song whose powerful riffing  will make your head banging and your feet dancing… something that we could describe as POP-Melodic HC, if not for the depth of the lyrics and the craftsmanship in composition that this Italian band constantly proves… let’s keep an eye on them, we will surely hear ‘bout this guys soon!
