Michael Schenker born on 10 January 1955 in Sarstedt, Lower Saxony is a legendary rock guitarist, best known for his tenure in UFO, in addition to his solo band. He has influenced many notable guitar players, including Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Michael Amott (Arch Enemy – Spiritual Beggars), Chris Caffery (Savatage), George Lynch (Dokken – Lynch Mob), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake – Dio), Roland Grapow (Masterplan – ex-Helloween), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and many many more.
Michael Schenker has recently released a new solo album, “Temple of Rock“ on 23 Sep 2011 (Europe) and 11 Nov 2011 (USA/Canada).
