Appice was in Canada’s metal capital on March 14 for a drum clinic at ItalMelodie and as an invited guest judge at the Heavy MTL 2012 BOTB hosted by concert promoters Dungeonworks and Evenko where local bands battle it out for two spots on Canada’s most epic metal fest.
The self-titled debut album from KILL DEVIL HILL — the band featuring Appice, Rex Brown (PANTERA, DOWN) on bass, Mark Zavon (RATT, W.A.S.P., 40 CYCLE HUM) on guitar and Jason “Dewey” Bragg (PISSING RAZORS) on vocals — has had its release date pushed back to late spring from the previously announced March 27.

Vinny, the author of drum instruction book “Rock Steady” and DVD “Hard Rock Drumming Techniques”, has performed incredible powerhouse drum clinics around the globe. Numerous books have been written about BLACK SABBATH and DIO with the authors always mentioned Vinny‘s unique powerful drumming style.
