What is your favourite music style?
Someone says it must be melodic, others say it must be dark and heavy, third say it must be good to their ears.
Well, I think DEF-CON-ONE is the best band for all of these genres!
Bloodstock Festival describes Def-Con-One as coming across like a bar fight between Machine Head, Slayer and Pantera, and I just can’t disagree with them 🙂 Well, perhaps I will add some Avenged Sevenfold, but that’s only because the vocalist’s voice reminds me sometimes M. Shadows.
The album opens with “Never Look Back” which immediately begins with an amazing drum solo from Antton Lant (ex-Venom) but the guitars join after the first minute and show us an amazing music style with amazing texts! The guys don’t leave you for a moment, they make every muscle in your body wanna dance. This kind of music can be used for every moment in your life, especially when you got a bad time and you wanna destroy something.
The next song “March Of The Dead” continues that “Never Look Back” gave us – adrenaline all over the body! With amazing drums, vocals, guitars and bass. Every riff is where it should be! We can hear and feel that this guys are fucking PRO!!!!!! M-A-R-C-H O-F T-H-E B-E-S-T! Another songs that really grab my attention for be one of the best songs is “Blood” and “10 bullets”. They got amazing riffs and once again perfect drums and voices.
I must say I’m not a big “growl” style fun. When I’d first heard about the band the first I thought that it will be “Venom #2” because Anton Lavant played. But when I’ve finally heard their all album, my mind changed at 180%! It’s not Venom it’s something else. Better, stronger and much more melodic. I am 100% sure that the band will have a huge success. Not only because they are my friends, but I think this band is the best band for me in 2012 and their album is the best album I’ve heard from the beginning of 2012.
