KING DIAMOND’s website has been updated with the following message from manager Olé Bang:
“Word has recently been going around; that we are in the planning of new show dates. To any avoid rip off, I shall here let you all know that we are not. In particular; we are not in the making of any plans to tour South America. Any promoter saying differently is lying. Do not pre-order or buy any ticket for a King Diamond or MERCYFUL FATE show. Once we have shows booked it will be announced here. King Diamond is currently in pre-production for the SwedenRock Festival and Hellfest, and those two performances are the only booked shows.”
King Diamond band members – Andy LaRocque (guitar), Mike Wead (guitar), Hal Patino (bass) – talk about the band’s upcoming stage production, and what they think the fans’ reaction will be. Check out the clip below:

Following the successful open heart triple bypass surgery in November 2010, King Diamond will return to the stage with two exciting open air events. He will be headlining the Rock Stage at Sweden Rock Festival on Saturday, June 9th. For more details visit Swedenrock.com.
King Diamond will also be headlining the Main Stage 2 at Hellfest in France on Friday, June 15th. For more details visit Hellfest.fr.

this may sound pissy….but it’s out of pure admiration and respect for king
I’m tired of King Diamond not doing big mainstream type shows….The man is a master. He needs to be doing 30,000+ shows instead of the 2,000-6,000 fan shows….Metallica worships this guy….come on! King Diamond needs to start filling amphitheaters in stead of concert halls. NO ONE in all of music does like King does. He needs to host a festival…an all day event of 10-15 metals bands…..its time to stop the underground scene and start rocking the world! Ozzfest is or was the biggest thing any summer has ever seen…..Ive said it a million times….a demonic debauchery fest headlined by King diamond would stand the summer concert season on its fucking ear……KING, its past time to be the true king that u are!
Rock on King….HERES TO U!
also…in the spirit of the Creepshow movies….all of the king diamond albums are short stories….they are all deserving of the silver screen, if not at least DVD….i have heard king referred to as: the Stephen king of the music industry.
i envision….king diamond sitting in an old abandoned cemetery, introducing each little story in the Tales from the Crypt, Crypt Keeper manner…..then at the end saying good bye and turning into a demon himself and walking or flying off…..
no one has ever done it and he is the only artist who could actually pull off this little piece of history.
