Metal Shock Finland (World Assault )

According to Bravewords.com, Legendary German alcoholic thrash metal act TANKARD has just announced new tour dates 2013. During the summer months the band was busy invading festivals across Europe, but it has been a while for them to play a headline clubshow in certain locations and cities.

Commented vocalist Gerre: “We are really looking forward to playing at Mannheim, Munich, Vienna, Leipzig and Herford for the first time in years.”

Michael “Schumi” Schumacher, musicologist at the University of Cologne and longtime Tankard-worshiper, has published the Frankfurt beer thrashers’ first official biography called Life In Beermuda, with many photos and statements from musicians from all over the world.

Says the band: “Our biography/book below will be only published in German. If the demand for an english version is big enough, there might be a chance for an english version too though.”

Life In Beermuda features 208 pages and will be published in the fall by Nicole Schmenk Publishing. Updates to follow.
